Well Joe. I am hoping that the election of Obama helps the race relations. I have noticed a light-heatedness when I have gone shopping the past couple of days between everyone out and about. I am a Libertarian and have been for about 10yrs. It would be nice to see some semblence of courtesy and respect among prior antagonists for a change. I am hoping for the best.

He is bi=racial not black and if he had been born with white skin we would not even be talking about him because he would not have been elected.

By the way Obama is a mutt just like most of America and it was a big hurting for electoral votes but not a huge margin by popular votes. Anyways Regardless of who sits in the seat they are by large a figure head. Hopefully He does a good job and pulls together a balanced team and makes some moves that help our country. I'm just holding my breath and waiting to see. neways.

Indeed Obama is black.

His father was a black man and he has "one drop" of black blood.

FOR THE LAST TIME...I DO NOT LIVE IN PALATKA. I live, work and play right here on the westside. Sorry, you can use that one drop theory all you want and the fact of the matter remains he is still half white. Since the majority of the population is white your theory may be true about welfare. But, notice white women who are on welfare ONLY have 1 child as opposed to black women who have 4 or 5 with all different daddies. And also notice that while a white woman is on welfare she is just receiving food stamps. Not food stamps, free housing, free medical and dental, free phone service, WIC and every other freebie that the govt can hand out at the taxpayers expense. It doesnt take a genius to figure out what is going on when you drive by any HUD project.
