at the time of his death his estate was valued at about half a Billion dollars. his family had versace custom make their clothes for the funeral service and he was placed in a gold casket. yet the TAXPAYERS as in the city of LA are expected to foot the bill for all of the extra security by law enforcement because the family chose a public service. its there right to choose a public memorial but they should pay for it. california is almost bankrupt. a webpage was set up asking fans to donate to the cost.
jackson's estate has brown by 30 million since his death due to record sales. why is the jackson family being so ghetto and expecting public money to pay for anything related to their loved one's funeral/memorial service? this is a disgrace and totally undignified. will the jackson family shares proceeds from that half a billion dollar estate with the fans? no way! but they expect the fans and city of LA to share the expense. why isn't anyone saying anything about this. if your loved one died you'd have to pay for the service and we all have far less money than this. these people are a shame. |

so i wonder joe citizen if you family member dies will the state burial be in a gold casket? this is sad. the mayor of that city should be fired if he doesn't stand up and make a claim against the estate of jackson. the public service cost 1.4 million dollars. hundreds of thousands due to security by taxpayer paid law enforcement. even the laker's basketball team paid for their victory ralley/parade so taxpayers wouldn't have to foot the bill. yet the jacksons are sitting on a golden egg worth half a billion to start and growing by millions every month and they want the public to defray the cost of them burying their loved one.

Wow! This is a disgrace. It is the family's DUTY to bury their loved one. Asking for donations (when you have plenty in the bank no less) is beyond tasteless. I hope the city makes a claim as a creditor of the estate. Public money should not be used for this purpose.

They should bill the Jackass Family and if they don't pay up, start putting liens on property.
BTW, anyone notice that Janet's NOSE is almost gone, too? |

The mayor should be fired if he doesn't call for reimbursement. The fact that the Jackson family will sit back and let the city set-up a website asking for "donations" is astounding. The very man they will make a [very good] living off of for the remainder of their lives doesn't mean enough to them for them to pay the bill in full. They are clearly trying to net more from the estate, so they're willing to let the public off-set the costs of his burial. That's disgusting. |
