Best and worst apartment complex in Cabot

My Sister and her husband are having to relocate to the Cabot area in the next few weeks due to a job transfer. Since I have only lived in Cabot a couple months myself and not knowing the area to well as of yet. Can anyone tell me who or who isn't a good apartment complex for them to move too. They live in Maine and will be needing a apartment as soon or soon after they get here so I am having to look around and help them find an apartment. Anybody have any suggestion on who and who not to rent from?

Not sure, but I would pretty much go by the outside because if they landlord want take care of the outside of the building I doubt they will take care of anything on the inside as well. There are a couple new apartment complexes off Kerr Station road. I wouldn't suggest any of the new ones in Austin. They are new and still look nice but they are major drug holes. Good luck

The apartments on Northport behind Zaxbys aren't too bad. I lived there for a couple of years. Rent was reasonable. Might be worth checking out.

Workhand, Are you talking about the Village Squ Apartment complex? I have heard from several people that those apartments are nice but the new management was a horror story. I had three different people tell me don't do it and they also manage the another set off Kerr Station Road as well. I forgot what company they said managed it but several folks said stay away from them because they were kinda shady on doing repairs and not giving back deposits. However you have any more suggestions. I called my sister last night and she said they don't have to be right in Cabot..They can go far out as BeeBe but they didn't want to go any futher south than Cabot. Oh Almost forgot to say Thank you Workhand for your help. My work has picked up since it has gotten warmer and I don't have as much time to help them look as I did so I have to rely on the good folks to help me out. Thanks

The new townhouses that back up to Northside elementary are for rent. They are $900 and $950 and they are 1500 sq feet.

I talked to the owner of those in March. She said they were going to rent for $1500 a month! Looks like they have had to come down on their rent.

Those are the ones. I'm not sure about the new management. I moved out a few years back. Good luck with the hunt!

Twinlake apartments in Beebe are $700 rent and that includes rent, electric, water, cable, washer & dryer. Pretty much covers everything for 700 a month.

(: Are you talking about the yellow-ish apartment complex you can see along the side of the interstate? If those are 700 a month with all that I will sell out and move over there myself. LOL Either way (: I will give these folks a call. Thank everyone for their help. Also I have heard those new apartments behing northside is for the eldely kinda like assisted living. Is this not correct? Does anyone know for sure?
I had several people tell me to do NOT rent from Village Squr apartments or Cardinal Manor apartment because the same management runs both and they are crooked as a snake they all said. 5 people that lived in both said they will not return a deposit, want do repairs, never in the office and make up new rules every week. Don't need Sis having to put up with all that this soon after they get here. God bless each and everyone of your for helping me. I am so proud to know there are so many good people still in this town. I have one more question for someone, Does anyone know anything about the apartment complex in Graystone? Management? Are they good, bad? Let me know.. Thanks

Yes, the brand new ones are for elderly assistance. My mom knows the owner and tried to get me in there but he said the brand new ones are for elderly and the older ones there are for housing assistance for people on HUD and such. And I have no clue if it's the yellow ones. I just read about them when I was looking for a place but I'm jut starting off and couldn't afford it. But it sounds really good.(:

The elderly apts. Are beside Northside. The ones behind Ns are townhouses. They are for everybody and not affiliated with chapel ridge.

I think the ones behind price cutter are okay.

There are some good people over there but there are drugs there too. So keep that in mind if you have a family.

I don't know about any other apartment in the Cabot area but I do know one thing for a fact. It would be wise of you to not have anything and I mean ANYTHING to do with RPM company. I would ask if they are managed by RPM before I would even step foot on the property. If they are, I would run and run fast. They will lie to your face and cheat you for every dime they can while they are looking you in the face. They will tell you that you can do this or that to your apartment then say they never said it and charge you for it when you move out. Also they are well known for never giving your deposit back and they have a long list of fines they will also charge you after keeping your deposit. These people are very very shady at best and you would be wise to have no dealing with them what so ever. Now I am not telling you ALL RPM people are bad, that I don't know, but I do know about the ones here in Cabot. Good Luck in your hunt

What kind of people are they? Personally, I would never in a million years live anywhere near Northside elementary. My step-children's mother lives in apartments over there, and the kids are always talking about drug dealers, not feeling safe, hearing gunshots, police sirens at night, etc... I hate that they have to deal with all that. There are always a million kids outside playing, however I have also seen a toddler playing by himself in the ditch near the street. I assume one of the kids playing must have been assigned to watch him, but there was no adult anywhere in sight. I would suggest Greystone apartments. They are nice and in a much better part of town.

Just my opinion, I am not even sure where the Northside Elementary is. I have only lived in the Cabot area myself. My husband and I moved here because he was transfered with the LRAFB. We had a huge mistake by moving in to the apartments behind the Walmart store. Those are nice apartment and there are some rough looking people over there but not bad. Yea they were drunks and druggies but you will get that in any apartment complex or neighborhood. But when the management company is even more wacko that the druggies are, that is something else. They will lie to your face. They will say for example you can put up shelving in the laundry room and then when you go to move they will turn right around and say they didn't say you can and charge you a huge fee for doing it and refusing to give back your deposit on top of that. They will never repair you needed repairs for example if a kitchen cabinet door needs fixing they will never fix it and when it falls off, they will charge you a huge fee for what they call distorying the property and refuse to give a deposit back to boot. They will send you eviction notice for not paying your rent, when they already have it. Then when you show proof they will always blame the fault on someone elses filing. My youngest daughter and son inlaw live over in the apartment complex on Cardinal drive in Cabot across from the middle school and the same management company has taken over those apartments now and they have gone to the crapper. The apartment have no manager there and people do whatever they want too, when they want too and the policeman lives on the proptery is about as useless a dry rag in the desert. People walk about the complex at night looking in cars, trashing the parking lot and none one cleans the complex of the trash that is just thrown about. Everytime this RPM company takes over a complex it goes to hell in a broken handbasket. I suggest asking who manages an apartment complex before you rent and if it is RPM I suggest you RUN LIKE CRAZY. They hired an apartment manager at Cardinal Apartment complex but she was there only a month and she high tailed it out of there in a hurry

What makes me wonder about the apartment complex on Cardinal drive run by RPM is why the policeman that lives over there run in and out of the leasing apartment day and night. Makes you wander what he is up too and using the companies computer for?
