Well if you look around you'll see more than a few of recently built millionaire log mansions sporting a fashionable rack of Moose Antlers over the entry. And they aint made of plastic. Must be big business for a few poachers. The rack is probably wort more than the trouble of packing out the carcass. The bears and wolves do the clean up in another day or two.

Grizzlys being intorduced to the park should not account for reduced moose population. Unless very hungry, bears normally won't go after moose. They get most protein from fish. Wolves on the other hand will hunt moose.

I am not sure the diet of a moose, but could they be competing over food sources? Berries are scarce this year but I am sure bears eat more than fish & berries. I don't know why the bear is listed as threat to the moose along with the wolf, but I thought I would enquire. Moose are very solitary and territorial, maybe they are having problems finding territory? I'm not sure, was hoping you or someone could shed some light here.

Moose seem to adapt and move around alot to avoid humans---soon they may be no where to roam!

Horny Wyoming cowboys. The male moose don't have a chance, with all those goat ropers with their britches down around their ankles.

Last winter I watched a girl run 7 dogs off their leashes up Cache Creek and and two moose came running by me like I wasn't there. God it was cold that night.

I would not want to be the one collecting moose droppings to analyze if they are pregnant.
