It's for both, they're separate & the theme is Morgan's Route or Apples to boots. Most people are doing Apples, because Morgan's route is like civil war stuff.

This contest is so rigged! Waste of money time and effort, very disappointed, saw lots of cute costumes for the theme, but seems the winners were either a Jaycees kid or friends with them or friends of the lady running it.... Wish someone fair would take it over!!!!
The lady running it has nothing to do with who the judges pick as winners.Seems as though your child didn't win and that's why you are so upset. Now if your child had won,you wouldn't be on here complaining now would you? Grow up and get a life.

I didn't think it was right that after fri at 10. They took applications. That's one reason it started late. Follow your own rules

I know nothing about taking applications after friday @ 10.I had nothing to do with this contest,as a matter of fact I wasn't even there.I was just saying, the lady running it has nothing to do with who the judges pick as winners. The person over the contest introduces the kids, she is not a judge. This seems to happen with any contest, there will always be whiners that whine more than the kids. The thing to do is to let your child know that no matter what the outcome is,they are still a winner in your eyes.I and a lot of others think the lady over it has always done a great job.

Always fun watching parents bitch when they try to get glory through their child in a 'pretty baby contest'. 90% of the time the parents are huge women who don't have a job and about he only thing going for them is their kid. If the spotlight is on the baby, then it hopefully will filter back to the parent.

The same type of parent who pushes desperately for their daughter to be a cheerleader just so she could be the popular kid that he parent never was.

Sick twisted people enter these contests. But to each his or her own, it's a free country.

I have no issue if a 3+ old WANTS to do this, it's the parents who enter babies and toddlers that annoy me. The kid doesn't have a clue what's going on, so what exactly is the point, and what is the judging criteria?

Face it, every child is absolutely beautiful in their parents eyes (or at least should be) so trying t say 'my baby is prettier than yours' is pretty f'ed up.

If this baby contest means that much to you, and the only way to win is to know a Jaycee or be one..I guess u should have ur husband join or u should make new friends! Get over it, your kid can't win them all!

If the rule states 10 am cut off then it should be followed by all including the ones putting it on. It is my experience that it is the same kids winning the baby contests, over and over. I don't put my kids in these things, it's just an observation. It does pay to know certain people that's just life, it's not right, but that's life. People do tend to lean towards people they know and are familiar with.
I don't know the woman who is over it but I have formed an opinion of her from things she has said via Facebook as well as seeing her at pageants. She is rude and acts snooty towards people. You really shouldn't be displaying the way she is in public , carrying on calling people names over a contest especially one your over- just saying....

You don't put your kids in these things?? Then why are you at pageants? I know Dawn, and she is a nice person, will go out of her way to help anyone! She doesn't choose the winners, do u really think she cares who wins? If you don't know her and don't like her then maybe you should delete yourself from her Facebook!

Ok, I think this site is nothing but trash, but someone told me that someone was talking about me on here, So I will post my thoughts. I have NOTHING to do with the judges decisions. I don't even know who the winners are until I read them off of the paper. As for the contest starting late- your watch was be set fast because actually the contest started 5 minuted early. As for only Jaycees kids winning- I honestly don't even think any Jaycees kids were in the contest this year at all! I volunteer to do this contest because I like doing it for the kids. Evidently the people who are complaining- had kids in the contest who didn't win. There were 123 kids this year-not all of them can be winners and you should realize that when you enter them. As for me letting people register the day of the contest- YES I DID!!! People came from out of town, thinking that they could enter because someone didn't post the entry form on the Apple Festival website this year. Me letting them enter- didn't change the outcome of the results. If you think you can do any better doing the contest-have your husband to become a Jaycee-(OH WAIT IF HE IS ANYTHING LIKE YOU, THEY WON'T PUT UP WITH HIS SHIT EITHER) As for me being rude and snooty! Lol, you evidently don't know me!!! Maybe I just don't really care for you- and thats why you think this!!! You say you see me at pageants- so that tells me that you enter your child in my pageant system! Do me and yourself a favor- and don't enter again! Also, feel free to delete yourself from my facebook page- before I I do it myself. Ok, I'm done ranting.

You need to read what unsaid again it seems. Just because I don't put my own children does not mean I don't have friends or other family in these contests. Don't put words on my mouth. And also I am not on her friends list. I said I do not know her. From what I do know of her from her own mouth, I think she is a snob. I am allowed to my opinions thank you. I never said one word about her fixing any contest so you need to check yourself. I simply said if its in the rules o a deadline of 10 am then the person in charge should follow. Go bark up another tree. It's not my fault she's getting a bad rep from this contest.

Let me clarify what I said, since comprehension seems to be a problem here.
I do not know you personally. I am
Not a friend of yours. I am basing my opinion on what I heard come out of your own mouth. Do you think it is appropriate for you to curse like you are , showing yourself over a contest? I don't. These contests or whatever is for enjoyment I the kids, correct? So why act like you do? Be an adult and ignore whatever is said about you. I am entitled to my opinion of you. However you do not know me at all but you are name calling and acting like a fool. My point has been proven. Thank you.

I agree, your point has been proven that you hide behind a computer and like to talk about people instead being mature and confronting them. Jealous much?
