question wrote: <quoted text>Here's a question for you, have you asked any of those who were "laid off" if their jobs were threatened because they didn't vote Arch's way? Yes, some people had a job TAKEN AWAY from them when they didn't vote for Arch's candidates. Ability to pay bills and put food in their children's mouths, TAKEN AWAY. This is a FACT. If you don't think he's sneaky enough to find out who people vote for, you better think again. Does anyone remember when the old Turner school held a mock election when Arch was principal and running against John L for magistrate? Children were asked to sign their names to their ballots. Do you suppose Arch would have looked at those ballots? Would have been a great way to find out who their families were voting for. Shouldn't those children have been told NOT to sign their ballots, that they should be able to vote in PRIVATE?? what I have been trying to say is this,,we know what we had in Arch but we have yet to see what is to come from what we have now. From what I hear its business as usual and in a much worse way than arch could have ever done. Just remember I said this when the crap hits the fan. And if you think politics as usual is gone then you are sadly mistaken. What an example, in more ways than one, are we setting before our kids. One thing I have found out from life experiences is that children are very smart & they can see through things way before an adult can. And above all we need to set examples for kids and from what we have no way that is happening. And some talk about the sex thing from SMS but yet uphold what we have now. Not even close. We need a new super and we need an entire new school board as of yesterday

I sincerely doubt Harv is doing much but gambling and drinking so he isn't capable nor has the time to fool with the school board. I agree politics will always be present in our county as it is in every other county in the state.

The funniest part is that he didn't have to buy votes to win. He could have won anyway.

Status of Mr T wrote: Heard our former superintendent has some critical health issues. He should of been paying more attention to his health instead of trying to figure out who he could hurt politically and therefore gain power. Sad he had to learn the hard way that dishonesty and unfairness never pays off. And there are some more of you that are reading this that need to learn the same lesson. I do hope that his medical condition improves-his life in prison is going to be miserable enough without critical health issues. Remember, you cannot do wrong and get by in this world. You may be on top for a time but eventually, life will catch up with you. People are so ready to condem others. God says to judge not, least ye be judged. I just wonder how many ministers have been down to Lexington to pray for this man. Arch Turner has a soul and he is in bad physical condition. If he has done all the things people are saying he did, he needs prayer and he needs God in his life. People, eternity is forever. He and all of you need to get right with God and try to live a good life. It is never too late. The thief on the cross was saved.

Hereafter and Yes but have valid points. We are quick to judge and I am guilty. I would imagine the prison has ministers available to counsel prisoners but I don't know.

but people who respond on this site has Mr. Turner already convicted. In other words, they have already made judgement. This is completely against the bible. His trial hasn't even begun! I was raised better than this.......do judge, let the court judge!!!! We need to be soft at heart for anyone who has done wrong once proven they have! Let's get back to the ole fashion frame of mind as a true Kentuckian!!!!!!!

Where have you been the last few years, up a hollow as a hermit or you wouldn't be upholding this man. You must think you are perfect, dear Kentuckian. I doubt you are flawless or haven't passed judgemnt along the way. One thing I do know, you are one of the few unaware of our superintendents actions over the years.

I have never been a fan of Arch Turner. Actually, he has done people I care about poorly over the years. However, I can't help but feel bad for his family and even for him. Yes, he has done wrong and he is going to have to pay for his mistakes. You can't break the law and not pay for it. But he is an old man, bad health problems, and done dirty by a man that he had helped time and time again over the years. What is wrong is that John L. will get a reduced sentence for wearing a wire in on Arch. Now, I am not saying Arch shouldn't be punished, of course he should, but John L. should not get a reduced sentence just for giving them another charge against Arch. Hell, John L. is just as much a crook as Arch.
