drivers in too big of hurry, ie. passing on double yellow lines that I have observered many times.
suggest drivers ed. required that would more than pay for the expense of start up by less accidents and lost lives. Remember that with the(correct knowledge) life has its biggest rewards.

Biggest cause of accidents? I'm not sure whether I'd call it Selfishness or General Stupidity. Talking on a cellphone, applying makeup, changing the baby, drinking and driving, passing improperly, tailgating, road rage, etc. If you look at all those things, deep down, it's the all-about-me attitude that leads to the majority of accidents. You are not more important than all the other drivers out there. You do not have a "right" to leave late and get to work on time. At no time do you have a right to endanger others. If we all work together, we'll be okay...

Driver inattention is the problem.

Cell phones
Tuning radio
Watching TV
Reading books
Reading newspapers
Reading maps
Putting on makeup
Combing hair
Looking at self in mirror
Getting cigarettss
Lighting cigarettes
Fishing for dropped cigarettes
Eating food
Drinking liquids
Attending baby
Talking to passenger/s
Taking off/putting on clothing
Searching car for lost objects
Gazing at roadsides or animals
Day-dreaming
Picking nose or other body parts
Playing with animal passengers
ADD, ADHD, drugs, alcohol, rage (not just road/rage), prescription drugs, emotional upset, physical discomfort (uncomfortable clothing, physical maladies, injury)

The mind that is engaged in anything other than driving is too busy to pay attention to driving.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Pisces

You're thinking along very inventive lines today, which is brilliant if you're trying to decide what you want to achieve in 2010. Get out a notebook or diary and start jotting down your ideas, so there's no danger of forgetting them. Discussing some of your plans with someone you respect could lead to even more brainwaves, and will assure you of their moral and emotional support.
