Sci-fi fans gather for I-CON 28 in Brentwood

Don't bother wasting your money this year, I-CON will bomb worse than any year, and more than likely will bankrupt after this convention.

Too many internal problems and the "Event Coordinator" John Hudson is an arrogant jerk. He's fired, forced to leave or indirectly driven out more than half of I-CONs staff from years past.

you people don't get it. It's lots of fun and the custumes are great. This year the guests are great. It's been great for 30 years. Former staffer doesn't sound very happy though, but then again, she's a former staffer. Best wishes for success.

The most ironic thing about people making fun of I-Con attendees, is that most of them either already ARE or will someday BE your bossees or the people who pay your checks.

Many of the "geeks" are the kind of people who end up with HIGH paying high Tech jobs after they go home from the "geek patrol"

Having worked the con for several years, I am fairly biased. It is true, the new location is going to be a bit of an adjustment, but I-con has always been, and will always be what you make of it. It's gonna be just as much fun as always! I hope you geeks and nerds come out and stop and say hello if you see me :)

Agreed, it was great for the past 27 years, but the way it's set up, and the person in charge, like I said It's doomed to fail because of a one Mr. John Hudson.
