Bucky was sworn in as constable and if you check he does not need to go for law enforcement to hold that title

The pedestrian crossed the street , and then the teacher made a right turn onto cross street and parked in front of the restaurant. He stopped completely as he was supposed to and nothing happed until 90 minutes later when Miller pulled him over.

He is not trying to fulfill his campaign promise so his campaign was a bunch of bull crap along with a lot of his supporters. He needs to step up to the plate and fulfill his campaign promise or resign. That is my point.

has any one seen the town pick up more travellers since teddys ousting-quite the oppisite im afraid i havn't seen the town so dead in weeks which leaves me wondering, who is supporting all the buisnesses with no extra flats around- the towns people- say it isnt so, so what does it boil down to ? perhaps teddy was just an excuse- nothing more that dirty politics trying to convince the masses that getting rid of teddy was gonna economically help out our town well-his 10% tax money he brought to the town maybe the committie for change should cover that amount if not how about the "elected" position paying some of it from his unearned pay-who knows but obviously(according to the lack of people pushing thru ip) teddy had little to do with our tourism issues simply was merely ousted by manipulation.

Even with Ted gone , it will take a very long time before IP gets its good reputation restored. No one realizes all the damaged caused by Ted. I do not think he had an obligation to give out more warnings. The real issue was the undeserved tickets he doled out. He harassed out of towner's. This will take some time. The damage to IP's reputation still lingers.

What I do see in Island Pond is the children. They are skate boarding and walking and playing ball and generally being children. How wonderful. When Ted was there the children stayed away from the main streets. I personally am glad to see the children being children again. The word is getting out that Ted is gone. You will see the tourists coming back and spending money and generally enjoying the town and its natural resources. I am sure that if you ask, local businesses will tell you they have already seen an increase in business. I agree with the poster who said that we should all move on. Ted was not re-elected and he was not re-elected because his vision for law enforcement was hurting the town. He is gone; this is good and now lets watch the community grow and prosper again. Mabe

Mabe I agree Ted is gone that is the past now the present is Bucky is not standing up to his campaign promise and should resign or put an effort into passing the test which he doesn't seem to want to because he never registered to retake it. That whole campaign was a bunch of crap that lead a lot of people believing that we would have better law enforcement if Bucky won. That is a joke if the select board didn't step up and hire a police cheif we would have nothing.

Mabe Grow and prosper? Please! That must be why some of the businesses are closing down. And this after having a great winter season with lots of snowmobilers. Thank God we have Bucky to the rescue. LOL Any word on why he isn't even trying to get into the academy? I'm still waiting for that sensible law enforcement he promised. Thankfully we have Tom to pick up the Bucky club slack.

Mabe McClay wrote: Why should Bucky resign? He is a constable and I imagine he will perform the duties of constable just fine. Mabe I agree he can perform the duties of a constable just fine. Anyone can do that task but the platform he ran on mislead alot of people because he can't perform law enforcement duties. We had to hire a police department to do the duties for the platform that he ran on (sensible law enforcement). You people said that Ted wasn't doing his job properly well Bucky isn't doing the job he said he would and doesn't seem to be wanting to sence he didn't even go do when they had the next test. He didn't even register to take the test. He and the committee for change was dishonest with his campaign platform and that is why he should resign.
