I just finished the book written by Laci's mom. How tragic and what a waste of precious lives. Why didn't Scott just get a divorce? He is a sociopath and no feelings or remorse. Jeni, once again do your homework. Since he is on death row his appeal is automatic. Duh. Um lets see you think he was really out fishing on Christmas Eve? i am from the same area he was and there are seveal other stories about what really happened if the stories are true scott would be free maybe the truth can not really come out

Who knows? This is California and it's only been 5 years. It will be at least another 15 years before he's executed, so between now and then he may have a change of heart.

What are you talking about? There was plenty of evidence:
- He acted like he did it
- He had a crazy story
- Anyone could tell he did it just by the look on his face
- He dyed his hair
- He was arrested for the crime

How much more evidence do you need?

lets see- he acted funny, his face lokked like he did it and he was arrestted- yea thats solid evidence everybody would go to prison for looking funny my poit exactly- no evidence just assumptiosn none of which were close to proven

All of my assumptions were proven correct. For example, he did have a crazy story and he did dye his hair, among other things.

On top of what I mentioned earlier, I forgot another very important fact: Who else could have done it?

who else? could have been anybody that is not evodence of any sort

people dye hair every day- maybe not for disguise but how about to avoid the media bugging you all the time a look on somebody's face- not evidence proves nothing

lets look at real evidence- he told police up front where he was- so with sonar, radar. divers you name it- why couldnt they find body or anchors or anything in 10 feet of water? maybe it wasnt there by the way- you say that a crazy story? thats whay got him convicted- because everyone believed he was fishing and dumped body where he said he was that day so i guess the jury didnt find it crazy. i believe its the absolutre truth- he even had a recaipt but there was no body left behind if you think story was crazy- then he couldnt have done it because he would have been somewhere else according to your assumption

In Wikipedia it says he was watching prono just two days after Laci disappeared.

so? maybe that not what you would expect but certainly not any sort of evidence that proves anything

OK, it's all circumstantial evidence. But none of it looks good for Peterson, plus the jury had a much better look at the case than most of us out here. Prove them wrong if you can. Prove that someone else committed the crime – a specific person, not a mysterious “someone who might be out there and who might have done some something.” If you can do that and get the court to recognize it, then I and millions of others will accept it and our view of Peterson will change 180 degrees. If you have something then let us see it, or better yet, take it to one of those magazine shows like 20/20 or Dateline. If it’s credible then they’ll be happy to air it, and it will get national attention.

However I really doubt you can do that. I think for some reason you’re clinging to the notion that if there’s even a tiny chance that Peterson is innocent, then it might be so. I will concede that the slight possibility exists, and if you can prove it I’ll accept it. But if you’re a rational person and not emotionally tied to Peterson then you should accept there’s a high probability that he really did it.

This is a tough situation for Lee and Jackie Peterson. In spite of all the evidence against their son, they're continuing the fight. I really do respect them for that. I guess I would do the same. I hope I never have to find out.

But I think maybe they need to refocus their efforts a bit, and shift from trying to prove that he's innocent, toward simply trying to get him off of death row.

ok now i agree with what you are saying . yes there is a high degree of probility-statistics-but still never proven no physical evidence and no forensic at all plus the defense doesnt have to prove who did it just shed doubt- and there is plenty

also- speaking of emotions- that what is going on- all the people who say rot in hell etc- those are the ones who speak on emotion and not with thought

for every piece of evidence used agaisnt him there could be an equally logical argument to the opposite- no physical or forensics remmeber

also- several people reported seeing someone like laci walking a dog that morning- how many pregnant women can be out walking in the same neighborhood at the same time with a dog? its all about common sense- and reasonable doubt

how would you like to be in similar situation- but the media has you convicted right away. you had opportunity, fingerprints are present etc you know you didnt do it- but nobody else beleives you and even without solid proof- you would be going down too. also- nobody who ever knew him including laci's parents ever thought he could do it- never displayed any sort of violence at all- profile does not fit

last- no i have no ties to peterson at all- but too many people are convicted wrongly - how can you ever send one to death row with such a lack of evidence it just wrong its just my opinion
