only 2 months for stupidly killing someone? while I'm glad the family is OK with the plea, I hope this young man learns to curb his violent temper.

Amazing how quickly a small situation can escalate and turn into something like this. These kids are so quick to want to throw down and fight over things not realizing how it can turn into a case like this in the blink of an eye. Now one person is dead and another is going to jail and will have a felony on his record all from one small altercation over a beer and one punch.

60 days does not seem like enough. I realize his intention was not on killing somebody, but unfortunatley that is what happened. Death was not the desired result but his actions are what caused that death. Not sure what the appropriate penalty should be but 60 days does not seem like enough for taking anothers life. Hopefully at least he will be paying out of his nose the rest of his life in legal bills and restitution. He should be paying for this the rest of his life in one way or another.

How quickly the lives of two people change dramatically in an instant. The perpetrator deserved way more time. There is no excuse for violent behavior. And murder is murder regardless of intent.

So it is OK if only one punch is thrown to kill someone. It makes very little difference, one or a hundred, a death still occurred. A 60 day sentence is totally out of line.

i heard the sentence was so light because it was a case of self defense

uaw worker has clearly never been in a fight. most people wouldnt even consider one punch a fight, more of a scuffle. one hundred punches would be wailing on the guy when he was down, not as it was in this case, defending himself from a much bigger and older attacker.

you can't sentence someone based on something that happens after the fact. if the prosecutors wanted a heavier jail sentence they would've tried the defendant with something more severe. the basis of this trial is and should be assault, and judgement should be and was rendered based on whether or not the defendant assaulted the victim or if they were acting in self defense...it's sad that somebody died from the incident yes, but you can't alter the legal system due to emotions.

Nick Foss was a good man and 60 days doesn't make up for his life taken... AT ALL!! My heart goes out to his family, who has treated me as their own as well!!!
