1 They laid off over 200 employees and plan to lay off more, but they offer a generous severance package, help employees with resumes and interviewing skills, as well as giving a 90 notice as well as rumors of it happening before 2009... However, other companies are continuing to do the say and take away from American. |

That is a HORRIBLE idea. Stop shopping at an American retailer and cause the 40,000+ associates that work for the company to lose their jobs. NICE THINKING. It is terrible for people to lose jobs but I would much rather work for a company that is always ensuring they are efficient and solid financially so that they do not end up like Circuit City. |
