been way too high for several years. Some homes and apartments are as expensive to rent as a home or apartment in a large city like Columbus!!! And a lot of these properties are outdated and not in very good shape at all. The deposit is usually the same as a month's rent, so in most cases it is way over a thousand dollars just for the first month.
With the high price of utilities on top of your rent, it takes an arm and a leg to pay everything each month!
Not much ever vacant to choose from in Ironton!!!
No thermal pane windows
No insulated doors
No security locks or deadbolts
No central heat
No central air
No ceiling fans
No bathroom exhaust fan
No laundry room or area
(or in an old basement)
Many older homes have none
of these updates, but renters
have to pay such high rent!
