I am concerned for the city. The Mayor clearly does not consider the citizens when making his decisions. Maybe he should have looked more into things before acting.

I think Cleary won because he supported Beth and
didn't vote to appeal her case.

Sorry I was vague on my comment. I meant my comment about when Cleary was reelected 4 years ago. There was a larger slate to choose from and he was the top vote getter. This year we had no better choices -

The Mayor is such a wimp and is very uncaring.
I believe he worked at the Welfare Office before he
became Mayor...maybe he can go back there

funny how everyone gets on here and talks about things they know nothing about and don't have the full story on everything. and how can you hire someone back that is on probation and can't carry a gun? im sure there is way more behind the story than what everyone knows as usual with every story so why sit around and bash people that nobody knows anything about.

Did the Mayor win "Dancing with the Stars?" I assume not because it would have been on the front page of
the Tribune today.

Rist could have been hired to work inside the station like several do and they do not carry guns..you need to get your facts straight. The arbitrator knew the facts and he ruled in her favor to go back to work immediately at the same rank. We union people should all eliminate our union memberships..they certainly
do not help us.

I think it was just an excuse not to take Rist back.
The council was so foolish to appeal the arbitrator's
decision. She will win just like she did in the
council's race.

Vinnie - you made the accusation - now back it up. Who are the several people that don't carry guns? How about actual facts instead of baseless allegations ?

Please tell the citizens what the Rist case is costing the city? Do you know the arbitrator's
ruling is final and binding? Study the manual.

You obviously don't know anything about the arbitration process or the law.

In addition - she has 3 hearings scheduled in December.

See what Santa brings everyone.

By the way - the election results are not certified final yet either. That means results could change on those elections that were won by only a few votes. Stay tuned .........

I think it would be stupid of the city to try and sabatoge her winning the election. The more the city keeps fighting her the worse we look in the eyes of the public. You would think the mayor and the chief see now that the citizens support her. It is over gentlemen, lets get back to the basics.
