you arent going to get good results on this website because these people have no lifes and come on here to dog on people that have better lifes than them!.... take my advice from someone that went to av and wouldnt change it for the world.... yea i had hard classes and rough teachers but name one school that doesnt and if they do then thats the school you should be concerned about!.... AV highschool is amazing and you wont take your kids to a better school... they do care about there feeling and do want them to go far in life. AV highschool does not want your kids to end up with a life where they have enough time and less important things in there life to get on websites like this and talk bad about people. So you choose do you want your kids to get on here and for them to sound like these pothetic people. Or would you like for them to go to av and get a good education and to move on to bigger and better things like college or a great job! your choice!!

I think every parent has complaints about their school district. I have been researching the A/V schools vs. Fredericktown, and A/V residents should consider themselves lucky.

So here is some news-a student can make 2 D's or 2 F's on their first quarter report card in Middle School and still play basketball for the school but if they score Basic on MAP-they are not allowed to go on the MAP trip. Tell me how biased that is?

wow i never imagined asking a simple question would bring all this ugliness out! If your child is struggling get them a tutor or help them at home but the name calling and the crude comments about teachers aren't helping! Especially in the day and age when we have taught our children to feel entitled to everything, feel like they should not have to earn anything and they know nothing of God. Now I understand why the children have become so hateful, they are coming by it honestly by watching the parents!

I have set here and read most of the post on Arcadia Valley Schools and as a parent of three and one junior still at AV I am offended.I have no affiliation with the staff but I have activly be involved in my kids education.If somthing happened that i did not like I protested it.I did not take my issues to a public forumn.I graduated from AV and I got a solid education along with my wife and two of our kids.If you have issues, get your facts straigt and make an appointment with the board.I was born and raised in the Valley and I was not borned with a silver spoon in my mouth,just honest hard working parent.perhaps that is what is missing ?

That is an interesting observation about Byron Inman. Very true that he's related to a lot of the staff. Maybe not 90%, but there is a fair amount there. I went to school with a lot of the teachers there now.
On another note, having the right last name helps, but isn't a deal breaker. Almost all the teachers will help you if you ask and actually care about your grades. In the end, if you don't make an effort to learn and succeed, then you fail at AV, just like anywhere else.

You sicken me attaboy. I have known Ashley (Dickerson) Whited for many years. Yes, she did get pregnant at a young age, but many people in her situation would have not succeeded like she. Her son's condition is treated with care and she has risen above your ignorance. Ashley may have been one of the so-called "preps" in school. I guess when you are outgoing, intelligent, nice, and loving you are criticized for being popular. Is it Ashley's fault she was well liked? Is it Ashley's fault she was part of the "in crowd"? Is it Ashley's fault she was above your pathetic standards in life? NO!!!!! Ashley is now an employee of the school and is dedicating her life to helping others. attaboy you need to grow up and get your facts straight before you start posting hurtful things about a woman you do not even know. Quit harping on things that happened in high school and move on with your life. Leave kind people out of your pathetic posting.
