What's wrong with you people? This is not St. Louis or LA. A small town as a small town news paper. If you want major news events, then buy the Post DIspatch. The Mt Echo is a small home town paper. Some people must enjoy the paper because they sure don't have a problem getting advertising now do they?

I have relatives that live in Ironton and have them save the paper for me. I like to read the Mountain Echo. It has a "small town" feel to it, which I really enjoy! The St Louis Post Dispatch has too much extra stuff in there that I don't read, so half of that paper is a waste to me.

janice you are too funny...do you think the sheriffs office has more to worry about than just ironton...they work from viburnum to des arc....main street ironton is for ironton pd. so before you start running your mouth why dont you get some facts straight.

I live in the "Southern part" of the county,I DO NOT by the Mountain Echo UNLESS I need a GOOD laugh.More than half the time the info is not even half correct.Very seldom is there any news about things here,lots going on for instance our Ambulance service,where did they find these people???This concerns me for my Children and Grandchildren.

You gotta love spell check!!! Although without it, you may sell more newspapers!! People have come to expect errors in the paper. It's become a common thing and other people compete to see who can find the most errors the fastest once the paper is released.
