Whats going on in ECSS

What is going on? Seems there are no happy teachers! From what I hear the board members need to be visiting the schools and talking to teachers.

I know some teachers that need jobs. If the teachers are not happy then they should leave. They should be thankful they have a job as hard as jobs are to get.

Smooth comment from the outside lookin in. Don't know? Maybe you are a teacher? Jobs are scarce, but you never know anyones situation until you walk a mile in their shoes. I am thankful for my job, but but I don't know what someone else might have to deal with on a daily basis.

Why do they keep cutting the Teachers pay .I would be unhappy about that to.

There are a lot of teachers that live in E.C. the board would never hire. How would that make people feel when they had to pay allthese high dollar property taxes. high high taxes with school taxes they ahve pleanty of Alabama teachers here and won't hire their own people from the county. That would make me feel loyal to the county and support the schools. hahaha

The teachers in early county have it made.

Why ya'll talking crap? These schools are the best around.

I know Alice Hutchins on the board. She is a nice lady and does a good job.

Just a few complaints heard today.

No morale. Constant push to work more, less pay. Continueously adding to burdensome list of duties. Talked to like idiots and treated like children by admin. Threatened and bullied. No supplies. Back stabbers,liars,and cheats are rewarded for behavior.

non logical, un educated scool board hireing manic depressed and pervert teachers. Its true everwhere not just here. Most of the outside hires were teachers that couldnt make it other places.The truth hurts is the reason peple wont live up to it.Work load efficency in goverment is the problem not just in school goverment.Cry if you want to.

One of the board members tables stuff at the meetings all the time I heard. What's up?

Sounds like you do not even know what your are talking about? It happens that Early County is one of the hardest systems to get hired into. Try to do better next time.

They only hire you if they want to like you or your family.

If you go on Goverment incomes on teachers on the internet you will find the pay scales of everone there.If you think they are underpaid you are out of touch.It happens that the school system and the papermill are the 2 highest paied jobs in Early County.The teacher rates in EC is the reason property tax are so high.We have enopugh coaches to handle the NY Giants team.Their pay is from 36 to 90 grand per year which with benifits and time off is equil to over several hundred per hour each.No one is worth these wages as a local school teacher.You need to realize the real story and understand the education process in this area is out of management.

Don't know how you calculate Happy American, but teacher pay scale is paid according to degree level(T4, T5,ETC)and years of creditable service. The county supplement(so nicely called "Christmas Bonus")The portion teacher of teacher salary supplemented/paid by the county has not been paid to teachers in two years. Teachers have been furloughed between 7 and 10 days last school year and I believe 7 this year(facts could be a little off). Teachers spend thousands to earn degrees to educate our children. Many have student loans to repay. Many husbands and wives both teach, meaning double cuts to income. However, money is far from the issue! Morale, treatment of teachers by administration, lack of morality in leadership,... just to name a few are the greater issue!
