Susan I'm currently reading that book-it's Blood Echoes by Thomas H. Cook. The Aldays sound like such a fine family. Such a terrible tragedy.

Appeals should be limimted to 3 all within 5 years!
If we can put Timithy Mc Veigh to death within 3 years. There is room for much a shorter wait in prison to be executed!..Reinstate the Electric Chair and Gas Chamber. Talk about a deturrent!

I am glad he was executed and hope that he agonized many sleepless nights over the fact that the death angel was surely coming for him. It was indeed a disgrace for the state of Georgia to wait 30 years almost to the anniversary date of the crime to execute him. If there is a positive side of this crime, it may be that many people, me included, have learned that it is far better to die fighting than to just be compliant. Piss on Carl Isaacs. Justice delayed is justice denied, where was the justice for the Alday family..So many surviving members of that family died without seeing justice done.

All 4 of the murderin sonsabitches should have been executed within the first year of capture. This country has lost its guts to stand up and do what is right. Piss on all 4 of you.

"... part of a clannish, religious, self-reliant family with roots in Seminole County’s red clay since the Civil War."

I'm not certain who wrote the foregoing, but if he knew anything at all about Seminole County, Georgia, he would know it does NOT have "red clay." Seminole County, which borders Alabama, has a sandy topsoil and is part of what is called the "Wiregrass Region," an area that includes counties in Georgia, Florida and Alabama.

Hopefully, the information about the murders themselves is more accurate.

i was only 14 at the time. but i still remember the nightly local news reports. if anyone deserved the death penalty its carl isaacs, wayne isaacs, billy isaacs and george dungee. its a shame only one had to die. at least carl had a long long time to think about what he done and to contemplate what was waiting for him at the end of the line.

Waynes last name was Coleman. They are all dead with the exveption of Coleman. Hopefully he is. Im not sure about him. Billy died with his family in Wakulla Co. in Florida. He was a home builder. I have a friend that lived near him.

They were captured like the prison punks they were. No fight or resistance whatsoever. Just bent over because they knew it was showtime. When it came time to take off their panties and put on their boxers.......... well, we all know how peaceful that "fight" ended. Any article you read about them will imply they were real bad asses LOL They were "bad" and had balls ONLY when they had a gun and had the drop on somebody aka a fucking coward. If the shoe fits, wear it.
