I am ticked off in Morristown, Tennessee. As a graduate of the first graduating class of Enka High School in the year 1959 and now living in Tennessee, I wanted so badly to win the millions in the most recent Powerball game. Had I won, I was going to buy one of those expensive building lots in the affluent Biltmore Village out next to the Enka plant where the smokestacks will soon be blown away. On that lot, I was going to build a nice house. In that house, I was going to have a large fireplace that would need a huge chimney. I was going to build one that was round and reach toward the sky every bit as high as the Enka smokestacks that will soon be history. How sad that is for me and I am sure a lot of others. Oh well, there will be other lotterys to win. Maybe I will someday build my Enka plant smokestack look alike in the Biltmore Village yet.

The lottery is a tax on the poor ... why spend your hard working money on this crazy thing?

Peace,

Peace,
"tax on the poor" Very well put young man. I can say young man because I am an old retired school teacher who lives on the poor side of town. I only buy two powerball lottery tickets each month because the lottery has been good to me. I should say good for my daughter who is in her junior year at the University of Tennessee. She is attending college mostly on scholarship money including lottery money and some student loans. The lottery money she has received has been a big help, so in turn, this poor boy pays his taxes which are $2.00
a month or $24.00 eash year.
I will agree with you about the war--I hate it. I came very close to having to go to Vietnam. Had I gone over there and got my "Willie" shot off, I would not have started a second family when I hit
age 45 and fathered two girls who are now age 21 and 18, keeping me in the poor house. I would not take anything for them and love them dearly.
You take care and maybe people such as you and I will get this war ended soon. Nothing would please me more--not even winning the lottery. I didn't want to live in the Biltmore Village anyway. I like where I am just fine and dandy.

Found it. Whatdoumean you hate the war? Who doesn't hate war? And maybe we are in the wrong country - but we had to start fighting the militant Muslims somewhere. And what Muslims are not militant? It is a part of their religion. Just as Christianity is a religion of peace, Islam is a religion of war. Kill all the non-Muslims. Wake up and smell the camel breath.

Cheney and "W" do not hate war, they love war. War to them means they can be "macho", play out their "rambo" fantasy and make lots of money off the dead bodies. "Christianity is a religion of peace"? "All muslims are militant"? Talk about being ignorant and uninformed. Go read some history books, heck, just go to any church and see the hate being spewed out. Christianity is a religion of peace! BS! It is a religion of greed, power, and control of others, especially the non-believers, christians hate non-believers as much as militant muslims hate non-muslims and jews hate non-jews. Religion is hate wrapped around hypocracy!

You are a sad, sad little person. True Christianity, not the false mess people have made of it, is a religion of peace. Let me rephrase that, Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with God and Jesus Christ. Best you read a Bible and find the Truth.
