I am writing this from my home in Las Vegas. My wife, Jeanne Newlin, was a passenger on Allegiant Air Flight 515. She was just released from the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center's Emergency Room afer evaluation for possible neck and shoulder injuries. Bottom line (in my wife's case): She has jarred severely when the plane left the runway and required medical attention. So, to state that there were "No Injuries" is inaccurate.

Wow... Thats interesting considering 142 other passengers including 3 wheelchair bound elderly passengers and several small children were totally uninjured. All reports were that many could not even tell the aircraft departed the runway, and the only indication was a mild vibration and slight downward pitch. Also interesting how your wife didn't ask for any assistance from the emts and firefighters who boarded right after the incident. Nice try on a frivoulous law suit attempt. Pathetic.

I heard from passengers on the plane about the same account that Richard said. They indicated that they didn't even know anything was going on except for a sudden flurry of snow on the windows. Unbelievable what some people will try.

What a joke. I was on that plane and by the time any of us knew anything was happening the plane had come to a stop. There was no jarring or shaking. The only discomfort was having to spend an extra hour on the plane waiting for the bus to come get us. This is obviously a frivolous lawsuit.

A lawsuit was in the works on this incident. Anyone hear anything about that? Was it recognized by a judge for what it was and dismissed or did it ever go to trial?

It is time to set the record straight.

First: Approximately 30 minutes after the incident, I started experiencing neck and head pain, which I reported to the flight attendant.

Second: I DID see an EMT once I deplaned. I elected not to go to the emergency room at that time.

Third: After applying heat and ice to my neck, in addition to taking Aleve, the pain was getting worse. At which time, I went to the Emergency Room. This was all at the recommendation of an Alliegent Air representative

Finally, I thank the Lord that no one else was injured. However, to make assumptions that this is a "frivoulous law suit attempt" is very hurtful.

I'm sorry if you feel that it is very hurtful when other passengers on the same airplane feel that this is a frivolous lawsuit. But it is lawsuits such as this that are driving costs so high. People out to just make a buck. Again, I stand by what I have heard from other passengers on that plane. Again, has it ever come to trial?

There have been several Alligiant airlines MD80 problems stemming from AMERCIAN AIRLINES POOR MAINTENANCE of the MD80s. AA suck. Alligiant should have that problem solved by buying new A320s mx from UA or B737-800s with CO.
You just wonder why FAA crackdown on AA MX practices......
