Johnson Recommends Three For Federal Slots

Randy Seiler should be the US Attorney and not the US Marshal. There were plenty of qualified law enforcement professionals that applied for the Marshal position only to be beat out by a career lawyer that has no idea how to be a cop. Seiler will be the only lawyer in the United States to be a US Marshal and only one of three US Marshals that have no law enforcement experience. Check out the US Marshal website if you don't believe me. This isn't an honor it is a slap in the face to law enforcement officers across the state of South Dakota. All these appointments/agreements were made in dark rooms without thinking how it would look to the average South Dakotan. If Seiler was a stand up guy he would refuse the US Marshal position and go for the job he is qualified for that being US Attorney. If Johnson can't trust a cop that is a democrat to be US Marshal he should consider leaving Warren Anderson as US Marshal. At least he came from the Highway Patrol and knows how to run a police agency. This is what happens when you live in DC more than you do in South Dakota. I'm not a Thnue fan but at least he comes home on a regular basis and is willing to listen.
