Tommy Southern Pines, NC	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #4 Jul 25, 2008 beachboy I really don't think the supply was short back then they were just holding out for higher prices I worked part time at a service station back then and I remember a tanker driver telling me there was lots of gas on those tankers in port I also think the car makers and the oil companys were in cahoots and now the oil companys have shafted the car makers I wonder how much gas will have to go up before some people stop driving those big suvs though
