What year wee you born. The problem is children adn parents alike have become too lazy and expect to have everything handed to them.In first through 5th grade I walked or rode my bike to school nearly every day, accompanied only by my fellow schoolmates and never gave it a second thought.
You should be happy that you live somewhere that still has neighborhood schools adn that you child does not have to ride a bus for nearly an hour every day.

Sorry I haven't been on here for a while. Right now I have PennDOT looking at the route to determine if it's safe - Which I doubt it is... There is no sidewalks for a block of it with a very narrow road that actually curves around a hill. I hope to know the results of that soon. Thanks for all of your suport, except for the oh brother person.

I too used to walk to school and I didn't have a bike that I could use. The difference with this situation is...

1. The route is dangerous.
2. My daughter is 6.
3. Next year my 5 year old will be walking too.
4. The distance is 1.34 miles.
5. My daughter is 6.
6. There is no one for her to walk to school with until her younger sister starts next year.
7. There are 3 Megan's Law offenders living on her route to school.
8. She has to cross a very very busy main street.
9. My daughter is 6.
10. Times are different now. When I walked to school we knew the whole neighborhood. Now a days people keep to themselves.
11. There are more accidents these days with more cars on the road and more drivers talking on their cell phones.
12. My daughter is 6.

Exactly how old are you that you think this should be fine???

Talk about lazy...how about a little proof reading.
To me it seems that you just responded to illicit a reaction from us and have no thoughtful objective things to say, you need to "get a life."

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Libra

If you're invited to a party or gathering today and you don't know whether to go, you should. You'll have a terrific time and you might meet someone who always makes your knees go weak. Even if it's a perfectly harmless flirtation and you're both happily committed to other people, it will still do your ego good to have a tantalizing conversation with this person.
