did kid rock buy a house on mullet lake? where at?

My family has a cottage up there and we just got back from our week. Yes, it sounds like he did. We know who's house he bought, but they are keeping it hush hush and we are friends of that family. I respect their privacy. If you know the lake, you can figure out which "cottage" it is. It sounds like it will be a while before he is in. The family just started building their new one next to the one they are currently in. Who'd of thought, Mullett would ever be on the map like that. Hope it doesn't change it!

It was rumored that Bob bought the old Paisley Estate on Red Pine Point on Mullett Lake. I personally know 1 person who saw him there. The other rumor is that he bought a place on the river. The rumor mill neglected to say if it was the Cheboygan, Indian or Black River though.

Let's hope Bobby likes it up here and convinces all his pals to buy some awesome northern Michigan lakefront and acreage parcels. We sure could use the jobs these good folk would create for us. As an area resident i welcome Rock and any one else to our beautiful area. Come on up and spend some money, we really need it!

Wow if its true that he did buy the "cottage" i am like 2 or 3 bays down from that....that is so sweet but he better not disturb this peaceful lake! That's why my family and I love it up there so much is because its so quiet and peaceful! Its still pretty cool though hope he enjoys it!

I did a search today at the registrar of deeds and no Robert Ritchey listed on any property in Cheboygan county. Maybe he has not closed yet or the deed has not been filed yet? I'll keep checking.

I can confirm that it's not the Paisley Estate on Red Pine Point. I've heard that he bought a place up in the Mullett Lake village area near the Cheboygan River.

Roger that. I talked to the owner of the BP station in town who also confirmed that Rock did not buy the Paisley Place. Looks like my 1st source was full of crap. Maybe he will reveal something at his Boyne show tomorro night. I'll be there so maybe I'll find out something. Ahhhhh... It's summertime in northern Michigan. :-)

Oh well...no new news bout Rock buying property here, although at his show on Saturday he said he loved Lake Charlevoix. The show was awesome too! Boyne is a perfect place for a show and Kid didn't disappoint. He played for over 2-1/2 hours and did most everything off his last two disks. I was slightly suprised to see that over half of the attendees were 30/40ish. Oh well, I'll just keep on hoping the rumor is true but alas it looks like it's just that, a rumor. I find it very hard to believe he would buy something in the Mullett Lake Village area. It's nice there just not Kid Rock nice. If I hear anything else I'll pass it along.

I say if Kid did buy a place in Northern MI.It should not be everyones business. Some people do need to have a private get away, from all the nosey riff raff out here. Tend to your own knitting and let the Kid have a life outside of fame.I have been in the Red Pine Point home and it is well suited for the rich and famous, the rich part is a must..lol..we are all famous in our own way, and that means we like to have some privacy..I say drop the subject..

awww... comon now peanut gallery... a little small town gossip never hurt no one. It's a big buzz up here so let us poor ole northern no-nothings cling to the hope that maybe some day a real celeb (and in my opinion a real decent dude) will come boppin into our mundane little lives. I also think the Kid would fit right into our eclectic little community and his privacy would be respected the same way we currently respect each others right to privacy. We're all friendly folk up here, well mostly, but like Kid says "it's hard to hang out in crowds", so no matter where he goes he will always attract attention. He's a freakin ROCK STAR!(couple more platinum albums and he'll be on par with the ROCK GODS who emerged in the 60's and 70's. But enough of my babble but i tend to disagree with you.

Well yes I do agree most of us common folk up here are friendly alright enough. But the younger bunch seem to lose what few marbles they have over any type of ROCK GODS from any era.If I saw Kid Rock down at the fishing hole I'd help him bait his hook and hand him a chunk of home made venison jerky. And not even act like I knew him. sooooooooooo... |

honestly, although it would be cool if he bought a place up here, as long as he keeps cranking out great tunes it's all good!
where you at Rock where you at? |

I hope he (and people like him) DON'T buy a place on MLake, OR Burt Lake.
But in case you didn't know, people like him are already there .. And they have a lot more oom-pah and will be there after no one remembers who he even is. They're just not as groupie-followed. Maybe they'll do a "Scary Movie XXIV" on MLake. The W-Boyz beat him there by 10 years. |

Awww come on give the Kid a chance...He has Changed since I first started to listen to him. He was jsut a punk then and now I enjoy his music! Wish I could have went to his concert to actually see him live. I hope if he has bought the place everyone will greet him with open arms like northern Michigan is all about. Friendly attitudes everyone. There is a little bit of gods beautiful country for every one.

In a way it's cool if someone like Kid Rock bought a place on Mullett Lake. But I would be concerned that the Township Assessors would use it as an excuse to raise property assessments in an otherwise down market.
Mark Farner (of Grand Funk Railroad) has a place or two around these parts from what I understand, and Bob Seger has a place near Cross Village. He's reported to have been seen at Leg's Inn. Madonna, it would figure, is rumored to have looked or bought at Bay Harbor. Not much of a nature lover like Bob and Mark and Robert, I guess. I have a lot of respect for these Michigan natives having a continuing stake in Michigan, though. Several years ago, Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock were spotted looking at houses on Shinaguag Lake near Goodrich. |

Kid Rock did buy a house on mullett lake but he hardly ever goes there he mainly bought it for his family. Its down by the indian river on a corner/point kinda...you will know if you see it...its white maybe a lil tan and hugeee...has 3 differnt size boats in front of it a volleyball net to the side and gazbo type bulinging by the water...with a door underneath....which is underground tunnels...how i know this is because my aunt n uncle live right down the road from them..

I dont think you all should worry. I grew up around the corner from Bob Segers mother in fact, my brother was her paperboy. You would never have known he was there visiting....then in my early adult years, I actually met him at the old Club 32 and shot a game of pool with him. Hes pretty cool! His money is no different than mine...he just has more of it. So, I feel if the "rich and famous" want to spend their money in our area(s), then let them. We are all the same.
