Because you fear that they will question yours...

Actions indeed do speak louder than words and Obama's actions have already been noted.

In Obama's wife's case, a Bible verse, Mat 12:34 applies: "... for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks."

Topics such as this one are irrelevant. The longer we spend time goofing around and getting caught up in our own underwear over mundane isseus such as this one, is less time that Obama actually has to answer to us and do so intelligently about policy issues that matter and how he is going to make them work.

The media and hence the hoi polloi get so enamored with bullschitte topics such as this one. Thnk about it. If you don't want to become bilingual then don't. If you do, then you will learn. It's not like Obama is going to be elected and then suddenly issue an edict. If he did, you all know what us freedom loving anti- dictorship, antisocialist types would have to do...

Get on with it and stop giving this lightweight a free pass!

Now he's done it. I intended to sit this election out. English is this nations language and it should stay that way. Just look at the Canadian mess. I'll have to vote for McCain noweven though I do not want to!

I have to agree with Spot.
Both these fellows running for President are pandering to which ever group they are talking to.
I also will vote for McCain for he is the lesser of the two evils.

This country may be getting to the bottom of the barrel with candidates, but I will vote for the one that has a proven track record for America . I can`t believe that anyone can vote for Obama with all the crap that swirles around him and, how can anyone be in that church for 20 years with that crazy pastor and not believe the same way that he does?? Was he asleep for 20 years?? I would be totally stupid to fall for that one

Okay, I couldn't force myself to read this entire article, but I did comprehend this much... He proposes a 50% credit for employers of small businesses IF they supply healthcare for their employees.(Only small not medium businesses) Okay first off a small business must provide health insurance-- that is hard enough for a small business. Then, this guy wants to raise taxes on just the high end incomes-- This is the tax bracket that these same small businesses fall into! The majority of small business owners fall into the tax category of the wealthy. They are not taxed on their NET income, they are taxed on the GROSS income of their business. This is before your employees are paid, before your materials or equipment is paid, taxes insurance, ETC! You get taxed on your GROSS income. What kind of incentive is that??? At least GW understood what it meant when he said the tax breaks will help the small business owners at least he had someone explain it to him so he could comprehend!:) So, this guy really doesn't know the actual way that things work in the real world of small business, regular joes and taxpayers. This just takes the freaking cake.

No, I think he really means taxing the very wealthy who have money falling out of their rear ends. Not small or medium business who are providing jobs. Why should the top 5% or even 10% at the top get any tax breaks? They have so many loopholes they could knit a sweater.

The news media reporting on Obama is like a bunch of people watching their son/grandson/nephew try to walk for the first time. Everyone is so encouraging and understanding. They've forgotten what this is about.

Afghanistan."Iraq is not the central front in the war on terrorism, and it never has been."

Osama bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri have repeatedly called Iraq the "front line" in their war against Western civilization.

Surely when Obama arrives in Iraq, all parties will lay down their arms and embrace; poverty, hatred and distrust will vanish; and children will fly kites in the bright sunshine.

Back in 1992 I retired, and in 1993 our wonderful congress decided that because I had saved some money and had IRA, I became a rich man with only 42% of my pre-retirement income. So when they say rich and don't give a number, we are all going to get shafted, unless you are on welfare or illegal.

I don't think this "world tour" will fool too many.

Obama just looks like a fool who is trying to substitute a trip for a real resume.

Obama is garbage

One Question, What did you do to earn all the money that they have falling out of their rear ends? In most cases these people work hard for their money, and should not be expected to support you.

Why is it that wealthy people spend most of their time doing things to make them successful, while poor people spend most of their time doing things that keep them poor?

I hope when he gets home he tells the American people that he was WRONG. That the surge worked and if we would have done what he wanted to do at the time of the start of the surge we and the iraqi people would be in worse shape than they and we are today in Iraq.
