But these new chicks think they know what they are doing. They are clueless. Ruining the park.

yeah... it was a brilliant idea to pack 500 adults and toddlers into a 10 ft x 10 ft square. The stampede effect was highly enjoyable. LOL

I was there and thought it was fine, except for the parents. While with my son in the 0-3 year old category, I heard three different parents dropping "f" bombs. Great job Indy parents! You guys should be proud! People wonder why kids are the way they are. Sad, sad, sad.

I would like to say, "thank you" to the civic organization and all the other people who bought the eggs and goodies, got the "gold egg" prizes under control, did all the advertising, and did everything else so our little children could hunt for eggs this Easter. It was so nice they did it FOR FREE, especially considering how hard times are around here. THANK YOU ALL!!!

Are you serious? They tried to pack all of you folks in a 10' X 10' area? If this is the case, I truly believe Independence government, park personnel and everyone involved in this event lost what little credibility they might have been given credit for. From a safety standpoint that doesn't sound like planning to me, more like an accident waiting to happen. GEEZ!
Now you know

It was free. If you have a problem with how it was handled, don't participate next year or volunteer to run it yourself. It is that simple.

You know they didn't, right? It was at the oval. The sections went across the whole width of it and were around 50 feet apart. They even had aisles so parents could go down the sidelines watching their kids. I wasn't in the toddler section but parents were allowed to go with, of course, and maybe they didn't spread out much. My kid's 9 and They got the whole picnic area on the bandshell side to hunt for eggs. People are just trying to stir up trouble like always.

don't participate then...... hide your own egg's. or would the stampede effect still apply. I can't believe on a holy observance day like Easter, you would spend the day in anger. It's all about the candy and food to you -huh? Not even a little bit about Jesus ?

People around here seem to believe Neewollah, football and of course tennis are more important than Easter or Christmas.

I'd have to use that same statement on you, because you probably believe those days are "true" Christian holidays, when in fact they were Pagan celebrations years before the fact. I don't expect uneducated, simpletons to understand that. Thanks for your effort though, it's supplied me with a little bit of amusement today. ;)

Isn't topix just amazing? The true thoughts of people come out in type. Things that may never be spoken to a persons face, but some take advantage of the fact that they can be mean, rude, and just down right horrible to people on topix, and no one will know who you are! I'll bet a lot of you make sure you get to church on SUnday too, right? It's scary, what the world has become!! Be kind, it's good for the soul!
