With the permission of Garry Herrmann, President of the Cincinnati Reds, Cahill staged a night game on June 19, 1909 in the Reds' park between the Elk Lodges of Cincinnati and Newport, Ky. Surprisingly, the game was played without difficulty and the 3,000 spectators, including the Cincinnati and Philadelphia teams which had played that afternoon, had little trouble following the ball. President Herrmann appeared impressed, as were others, but nothing of consequence came of it. This one didn't count either

The first night game in Major League history was played at Cincinnati's Crosley Field, May 24, 1935, with an attendance of 20,422. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, seated in the White House, pushed a button and 1,090,000 watts of electric power from 632 lamps... And this is a lie too right?

Crosley field was ripped down in 1972... A progressive community decided to tear it down, and create a memorial.. Independence will spend millions preserving an eye sore, based on rumor!

It wasn't regular season, and it was a professional game, and it was an organized team, but that didn't count... right? Not right. It was not a organized professional game, not even an organized game. No where in the article is it stated that it was, and I do not even see where it tried to deceive a reader into thinking so. None of the games prior to the Independence game are stated as being organized games because they were not.

"Logan Square semi-pro baseball team played on the north side of Chicago during the early 1900s" http://www.baseballhistorian.com/fans_favorit... Here is a link to the other semi pro team Rogers Park, that played in the organized leagues 1909 NIGHT game. http://memory.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/h... :@field(NUMBER+@band(ichicdn+s 007512)) If you would spend as much time trying to find the truth, as you do trying to prove someone wrong, you could educate yourself. Plus you wouldn't seem like a complete idiot!

It happened 20 years before the "first night game" in Independence....... So again believe the lies if you want... I choose not to!

Sweat the petty stuff all you want. I just sent a message to the Ewing Kauffman Foundation to see if they would help us do something with it. Carry on.

So again believe the lies if you want... I choose not to! I think the reason no one is going to believe you is all the links you have posted are old history, nothing new. All the teams you referenced were not organized teams, and no one is going to take your word for it over the documented records. If there is a claim that the teams were organized, just provide the page and line number that states it, or you could even provide the organization classifications for the teams.

Here's probably the only link that "true" baseball fans need. True fans are certainly familiar with Sabermetrics and should enjoy this article from this research group. What, you thought all they talked about was stats like BABIP?
