You are very considerate of your wife. More spouses could take a lesson from you.

Goldie's Steak House's food (in Bartlesville) can't be beat. Unlike other places, their steaks are tender, juicy, and delicious which is why I'd like one here. The place doesn't look like much but don't let looks fool you. Its great so try it out.

And just why did someone judge me with an unhappy face? I sincerely meant what I said. I thought that man was being very thoughtful of his wife, and I wished more spouses would do the same. You either must not be married or must not be very nice to your spouse. Maybe this fellow will give you some lessons that will turn your spouse's face from unhappy to happy.
this is why

"Most spouses could take a lesson from you." With that statement you make a sweeping generalization about male spouses, suggesting you're a female chauvinist pig.

Whether I'm married or not is irrelevant to this posting. But you do remind me of an anecdote about Winston Churchill. You play the woman in the anecdote and I'll play Churchill.

"Sir Winston," the woman said, "if you were my husband, I'd put poison in your tea."

"Madam," Churchill replied, "if I were your husband, I would drink it."

If you re-read my post, I said "spouses" which would refer to either a husband or a wife. You incorrectly ASSUMED I was referring to a husband. With that statement, you make a sweeping generalization that all females are chauvinists pigs. You're nuts. Go back to elementary school and learn reading comprehension with the third graders.

I compliment someone for being nice to his wife and wish other spouses would be as nice to their spouses and I get a bunch of negative comments from negative people with negative attitudes. Since this is Topix, I should have screamed at the guy for not letting his wife voice her own opinion, but then I'd get a bunch of negative comments about that. It's a lose-lose situation, but I stand behind what I told that nice fellow 100%. You negative haters can keep on posting as you illustrate the sad state of human interpersonal relationships and all the negativity in the world.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Aquarius

Watch out if you're going shopping, because you'll be tempted to splash out on impulse buys. This doesn't matter so much if you're feeling flush, but it could cause problems if you're supposed to be counting every penny. Whatever the state of your finances, you may buy items you don't need and possibly even won't like when you look at them again tomorrow.
