Cardinal EMS Employees unhappy about work enviroment

Alot of Cardinal EMS workers are unhappy about the work environment created for them. Employees are being micro-managed and treated unfairly. Some actions are ok for a select few of employees while others get fired for the same actions. Cameras are being placed in all the bases so the actions of the employees can be monitored. Supplies for the trucks have been limited. Cardinal was nice for a while. However, the true colors of the CEO are coming out. Maybe Mr. Hobbs was only partly to blame for the activities that went on at Mercy Regional. Now with the mystery meetings between the owners of the company, the fate of the service could be at risk.

is that why "some" of the employees treat people like crap and threaten people......wake up...maybe they need to take classes on humanity

Boo-Hoo! Cry me a river. There is not one place that is perfect to work at. Grow up and be thankful you have a job. 15% unemployment in Franklin County and you are crying like a child. A lot of places have cameras in them to monitor employees. So what have the employees done to make them invest the money in security cameras? Won't ever get the truth on that one. I got an idea, instead of crying on here where only--like what---30 people monitor this site--go to the labor board or even get a lawyer..Wha-wha!!!!!

When a long time employee quits, due to the problems their. One that stayed through all the problems at Mercy and only makes it nine months at Cardnial, must mean that something is wrong I would think.

If you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. It's called work for a reason so deal with it. If you don't want the job I'm sure there's someone else that does. Just be thankful for what you have and quit your witchin. May the best survive.

in my opinion if you dont like your job then leave! you know where the door is!! i on the other hand love my job and the people i work with! they are all great people and MOST of us are doing our job for the right reasons! as for any of you having a problem with Virginia or Matt or Steve, go talk to them about it! dont post it on some stupid topix sight!

I have gotten questioned about this Topix comment a number of times today... and i want to make things very clear... to start with, i was not involved in the creation of this topix thread... Cardinal ems has its share of problems.. and with that said, show me a business that doesn't have problems. The upper management problems is of no concern to me... Paramedics where i live make $10-$12 an hour.. and i make way more then that. i go to work, i do my job and best of all.. i take my check to the bank and they cash it right there on the spot.. I agree with some comments on here about "if you don't like it then leave".. however at the same time, i think that the employees are the foundation of this company. If people have problems then they need to address those problems with the administrative staff... I had problems here and they were address head on and got resolved due to it... but neverless, i would never choose to hide behind a anonymous website.

So, let me see if I have this right, A fella named hobbs screwed the government out of millions(medicare&medicaid fraud) and went to jail, RIGHT? Then one of his bookkeepers takes over as new owner of Cardinal, wow she must have been very well paid in order to own and operate an ambulance service, or maybe her family already had money, but if thats the case, whatcha doin hangin with an ambulance service!? But the employees leaving , thats the easy question, they are unhappy, and this is a free country and we have the right to say whatever we wish, and those on here that are opposed to that concept are probably Virginia's lapdog's anyway! If you folks want to post your opinion about cardinal, well, you have the right and should go right ahead!!!!!!!

I had a couple of female employees tell me that they were made to paint the inside of the carmi base while their male counterparts just watched them and they were laughing about it, they also added that they felt very degraded about the whole ordeal!

seems to me the only thing that hasn't changed is the operations management. Same two and I have seen them act like they are gods. Moses, I take it you don't work there because you speak only of conspiracy, rumor, and hearsay. Keep up the good work

I know of a large MALE that painted in Carmi with his wife. I laughed at him (not while he was painting)

Would be considered degrading if you are a female made to paint while the males sat at a table and watched! Now those of you that are actually in charge of employees that you want to see get something done and still have some sort of respect for you, each and everyone of you know that you dont treat employees that way and expect them to do a good job!

Moses 53 has been around a long time and I usually know the answer before I ask the question, conspiracy; yes/ rumor; no / hearsay; yes only because I dont work there, do know many people that do and did and I speak of things that come from their mouths, and if your gonna say cardinal employees are a bunch of liars, well, I for one, dont believe that for a moment, I think cardinal has a good many honest and educated employees, but there is something seriously wrong in management! Has to be for that many employees to leave one place of employment at one time!
