anyone who can look at an underage kid and think those thoughts and then actually pursue these thoughts is sick in the head. This man deserves everything that is instore for him in that jail cell.

More and more of these criminals are popping up on the radar. What is happening to them once they are charged? Is it enough. I know there are laws about where they can live, where they can go and what they can do, but I wonder if we are doing enough to prevent the crimes in the first place.

Children are vulnerable. Sometimes they get involved with older people because they seek attention they can't get somewhere else. I think positive role models in the lives of our children need to work harder at giving them the attention they need, so they don't seek it from other people.

This may not be the case most of the time though, so we must do more to prevent the adults from violating our children. I don't know anything about this case (or any other case for that matter), but I wonder what this guy was doing that allowed him to get that close to his victim. Were there no other adults around? Maybe it was a working relationship. Why weren't other adults around protecting her?

There needs to be more awareness in the community. Maybe more people looking out for our young people.

while it is wrong what this man did i think that before anyone should judge they should know all the facts.. there were two involved in this situation.. neither side innocent.. 17 is not a child.. they are aware and know EXACTLY what they are doing..

He knew she was considered a minor. He should have kept it in his pants.

I'm not sure who you all are talking about, but bring them down here to Arkansas. We can help him out a whole bunch. He will never want to bother a child again! I'm originally from Hillsboro, and I look at this site from time to time and some of the stuff I read about my hometown is not very pretty. Don't get me wrong, we have our share of this type of activity going on here but we deal with it then call the law.

The poor man, he has probation for 5 years. Do you really think that is going to stop him from hurting your kids?

You people disgust me. You are the worst kind of hippocrits.

Everyone has a fetish of some kind. Whether it be feet, or pain, or bondage, or in some cases, pedophilia. The government should not punish people because of their fetishes. What happened to being guarenteed the "Pursuit of Happiness?"

Don't get me wrong, though. If the pedophile kidnaps the kid, or the kid is unwillingly forced to participate in sexual acts, then that would be wrong. And the pedophile should get sent to jail.

But, seriously, you people disgust me.

But Shark, what if the man, or woman - as the case may be - has a fetish OF rape, and the only way they can sustain sexual arousal is through such acts.

And how do you plan to save us, Luffy?

Can you somehow change the world, so they accept those who are different?

I doubt it.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Pisces

You should have a lucky break today when fate steps in and takes a hand. For instance, a situation may seem to be heading for disaster when you're suddenly bailed out in ways you would never have imagined. However, this doesn't mean you can take foolish risks in the hope that things will work out all right because there's no guaranteeing that they'll do so automatically.
