Ryan Imperial, MO	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #42 Aug 7, 2011 What was that noise last night. Around 2:30 am my wife and I woke up to what sounded like machine gun fire. It seemed to be coming from about a mile away from Telegraph and 67. It was companies with sounds of explosions.

Did anyone else hear it? Sounded like a low flying jet followed by rapid gun fire. I looked outside and waited for an explosion to follow, but after a few minutes it stopped.

Dillon High Ridge, MO	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #46 Aug 22, 2011 I heard the sound you are refering to, I think it was a train going down the tracks along 55 that had either a really bad bearing on a wheel or the wheel itself was stuck and being drug along the tracks. When I was a kid, I saw a wheel that wasn't turning on a train car and it made one hell of a noise and left a rooster tail of sparks 30 feet high behind it.
