It sounds like Bill from Eastanollee may be harboring a grudge against our good Sheriff. Probably of his own doings.

I know three of the five running for sheriff. I have never had a problem with Clayton Lowe or John Dove. Kip Thomas on the other hand, well, they say if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all. When Thomas was a deputy here, he was sent to my home for a report. The nature of the complaint was important to me, yet a waste of time for him. I know people in Madison County that has worked with Thomas. Not being ugly, all have said he is somewhat lazy. We don't need anyone running the sheriff's office thats lazy. John Dove was hired to do a job for me, more than once, he may have been a little higher than others, but he did as he said. I think Sheriff Lowe has done a decent job over the years, some of the dupties are rude. I also think the Sheriff has gotten a little comfortable. He needs to step his game up or retire if he's had enough. I wish two out the three well. Still havent decided which one will get my vote just yet. I live in Madison County.

I dont respond to these things much. I agrees with most. We do need someone knew, fresh, with goals and ideas. The shaff has had twelve years now to do what he has set to do. If he aint already did it, he sure as heck aint gonna do it. I to has dealt with some of the duputies. Some helped, others didnt. I'm voting for all new peoples. It don't matter who as long as they are knew. Signs say, Keep Lowe, I says CLAYTON LOWE HAS GOTTA GOES. pEaCe.

John Dove, Right Man for Madison County Several are planned to qualify for the Sheriff's race in Madison County in upcoming weeks. But the best man for the job and the community is John Dove. I have known John and his family for over 16 Years, as well as worked along beside him. I can tell you that I had rather have no other to stand beside when things get tough. Not one time did I ever feel he would cower, nor hide from any challenge that would arise. Madison County needs a firm, strong, dependable man to fill its Sheriffs Office. A man that has been tested in all forms of law enforcement. John has those qualities. From Jails, to the everyday life on the streets. John has seen, and had to deal with it. As July grows closer, I ask Madison County to seek out and ask questions of John, He has listed his email, as well as his home phone in print.

I think you should all look at what the Sheriff's Office has accomplished since Clayton has been in office. It is impossible to make everyone happy i understand, its the nature of the business. Before making an uneducated decision on who to vote for or voting for someone because he was nice to you one time you should check into what has been accomplished over the past 12 years. I feel certain that most of you who have posted anything on here would be suprised at what you find.

I have worked along side by side with Troy Asmus in Irac and could not ask for a better police chief. He not only has the leadership experience of supervising over 200 personnel he is hones and hard working. He is a retired Navy Chief of police that has all the experience your county needs. He has been Chief of police, chief of K-9 units, in charge of ground movements in Irac, anti-terrorism specialist, force protection specialist, Ga police office certified and jailer certified. HE IS THE RIGHT ONE FOR THE JOB!!!! I WOULD WORK SIDE BY SIDE WITH HIM ANY DAY!!!

The public safety of Madison County has came so far under Sheriff Lowe's administration. I really hope voters get out and look at the facts on all the candidates. In the few times I have needed the assistance of the Sheriff's Office I have been pleased with the service and hope the Sheriff we have stays.

laura you have truly been blessed.you are one of the few that are happy with the service of the sheriffs dept.clayton maybe an ok guy but he has over the years surrounded himself wit some poor excuses for deputies and investigators.there are some good ones as well but lets face it clayton.the race is between 2 men in my opinion.clayton and john.vote for who you wish but your support should be given to the winner as both have the community in there best interests. Wendy. I am guesing that you have had a bad experience dealing with the Sherif's Office. Just curious if you would be willing to name any of these "poor excuses for deputies or investigators". wendy wrote: laura you have truly been blessed.you are one of the few that are happy with the service of the sheriffs dept.clayton maybe an ok guy but he has over the years surrounded himself wit some poor excuses for deputies and investigators.there are some good ones as well but lets face it clayton.the race is between 2 men in my opinion.clayton and john.vote for who you wish but your support should be given to the winner as both have the community in there best interests. <quoted text>

I find it interesting that people make their comments on here but are unable to back them with fact. I would love for Bill to provide us with some factual information to back his statement that Clayton is "as crooked as they come".

sounds like bubba and tony are taking this personal.the fact is this site is being abused.people should calm down and let the canidates do the talking.everyone has there opinions.there are 4 people running against lowe who all have some sort of support from the public.this means there are alot of people who are obviously unhappy with the current.i think all the canidates are running with good intentions with the exception of thomas.i think its personal for him.

i think that tony has a good point. i dont think its personal at all. if you are going to make such a comment you should be able to back it up.

really so that would mean that this is tony's buisness.at last check nothing was said about him and he was not a canidate.who cares what people say.this is claytons job to lose.mud slinging and tempers don't help.if there are any facts to come out of these peoples statements then so be it.if not then who cares negative reacting will only hurt those that we wish the best for.

cut it out people.vote for who you want keep the negative to yourselves.i know john dove and know first hand he does not want negative support.he has nothing but respect for sheriff lowe.michelle is right.people need to get there emotions in check and the others should not make statements in which they will not or did not elaborate on.john only wishes the best for the community just as clayton.i am supporting john because of his views.i hope who ever wins will take the positive out of what there opponents ideas and use it for the good of those they represent.

Actually I think it is my business. I have worked for the Madison County Sheriff's office for almost 20 years. Many of the comments posted on here are negative in nature toward this agency hence toward me. I have said nothing negative about anyone. All I have asked is for those making the comments to provide factual information instead of rumors. I know a lot of what we have accomplished and what we do on a day to day basis....do you? michelle wrote: really so that would mean that this is tony's buisness.at last check nothing was said about him and he was not a canidate.who cares what people say.this is claytons job to lose.mud slinging and tempers don't help.if there are any facts to come out of these peoples statements then so be it.if not then who cares negative reacting will only hurt those that we wish the best for.
