Is Burlington a nice place to live?

I am considering relocating to the area and was wondering what kind of community it is? Good schools? I live in Oklahoma currently.

I grew up in the area. Burlington seemed to have a good school in the 70's and 80's. I think they all live in a bubble. Life is kinda slow there and you have to drive forever to get anywhere. People are clannish.

i lived there from 04 to 06 it is very closed mined ,unaccepting of outsiders let alone other races[excluding white].people are judged by what there last name is.

I lived there for a while, about a year and a half. It really seems like a retirement town and people are very selfish and clannish.

If you're not a Cure, McArthur, or Penny, then good luck getting anyone to give you a chance. It's all about your last name in this dump of a town.

Burlington Kansas is a very nice place to live. I have lived here all my life and the things here are very nice. There is a rec center with many thing available there and the schools are awesome. The teachers care about the students and the facilities are clean and very nice. There isn't a whole lot to do in this town outside of sports anymore some things have kind of died but it's a very nice community and the people are very welcoming. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Not a decent place and the people are naive!
Overrun with non papered individuals, and completely out of touch with normal civilization.
So sad really. Better have a strong christian background and keep your nose clean there, and the only employment that pays anything is working @ the prison and obtaining bennies. Schools are clickish and mean spirited. Too much underage drinkin and partying as well as the wonderful drug crowd. Keep your distance!
