I hate going in there. When you get to the register, you have to wait another half hour or so for them to take your money, and then when they finally come up there, they act so rude, like you shouldn't have bothered them. Anyone ever see that Debbie NOT on the phone?

I have always thought the phone was permanently attached to her ear. You mean to tell me she can remove it without having to go to the doctor and getting them to surgically remove it?

I know working with the public, isnt always an easy job. But when they stand there with only a bag of chips, and a thing of shampoo, they shouldnt stand there only for a minute. There are two lanes.. And normally more than one person there. Both registers should have a drawer, counted and ready to go, just in case they get busy. Last time I was down there, that one lane was backed up with people. This girl asked the one on the phone, to please open up. She said no, she couldnt, and walked off. That store needs a new manager. So myself and another girl left our stuff sitting and walked out.. They are running their customers off.. No customers, no proffit, no job!!

You people don't know the real issues. Those people aren't expected to just stand up there and check you out. They are expected to get so much stock put out during their shift as well. On top of that, a lot of times only one person is there.

Get the company's customer relations number and call and complain.

It isn't always the employees fault, sometimes the company is to blame.

Just consider that.

One on the clock, my ass. There's always two or three of them there, and the manager can get her ass off the phone and run the reigster while the others stock. The real issues are that Miss Manager mismanages.

I work at a Dollar General (not the one you are talking about)

I don't really know what goes on at that store but I am just telling you some of the issues.

DG doesn't give most stores enough hours to have more than one person there all the time.

My brother used to work at a Dollar General in the county. And he had to quit because they didn't want him working as 3rd key and go to college also. I think it was unfair. But he's now at Walmart and wouldn't go back to the Dollar Store at all.

ya'll are crazy, the DG in Iaeger is the highest profiting store in the region! be proud of that, rather than talking trash...I mean it's a 2 million dollar store (per year)...that's why the town of Iaeger extended the city limits so they could cash in!! duh!!!! mayor joe is a smart man to cash in on the most profitable business in iaeger...if you dont like it, go elsewhere..but to talk trash on topix? nothing better to do with your life? how sad..lol

Well the store I work at doesn't get enough hours to have 2 or more people there all the time.

Many times the Manager On Duty is there alone for several hours.

I am just telling you the truth.

A customer going in every now and then may not be able to see what is going on, but trust me. I work for them.

Highest profiting because it's a monopoly, not a reflection of customer service. People here are not able to afford running all the way to Welch or Kimball for a can of spray paint or some black tape, so they HAVE to wait impatiently for a worker to come up front, roll her eyes and growl at them while yelling back through the store to finish the piece of gossip she and the manager and other workers were busy discussing before getting so RUDELY interrupted by this person trying to pay for their item. City limits were extended in order to collect taxes from a business, which the previous city limits were lacking thanks to all the flooding.

I think the ladies at that dollar store are the nicest ones I've dealt with. Have you been to Wal-Mart lately? Or Magic Mart? Atleast they try to help you when you need it. Walk into some of the other dollar stores. Iaeger dollar store is one of the neatest, cleanest, dollar stores that I have seen. At least you don't trip over boxes. Be grateful that we have a store like that in Iaeger and we don't have to run 10 or 15 miles to get a can of spray paint. And I've seen that manager baby-sit kids so the mother could shop. Also seen her help elderly people out with their buggys....even in the rain.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Capricorn

You're swayed by your emotions today, making you susceptible to other people's machinations. Are you putty in the hands of your beloved? Are you willing to do whatever, just to keep the peace? Watch out for the influence of another's black mood, or you'll soon start to feel just as miserable. Fortunately this strange mood won't last long.
