The SAME people who reimbursed us for the food we lost when the flood hit in 2002 !Even the lowlife scum trash who hit every place that was giving out anything free even though they were not affected by the flood! I ,among other people are tired of seeing the same trashy people standing with their hands held out for something they DON'T deserve!
thanks

i think they should give us some money for food i know i lost a lot of food.
and you can't put your food out side in the snow here where i live because of dogs, cats, racoon, they will eat it and tear into it.

the welfare is replaceing stamps for people on stamps.
but for people like me we are just on our own my power just came back on today tues 22 2009 and my sons is still off and he don't know when he will get his. because his pole is broke.

The welfare is giving everybody that recieves foodstamps more to replace what they lost, but I feel like if they give anybody extra foodstamps they should give them to EVERYBODY who was without power. My Mom and Dad dont get foodstamps, but they live on a fixed income and they too lost everything. Mom had just went a couple days prior to the outage and gotten everything she needed for our Christmas dinner. Its all ruined now and it will be hard for them to replace everything. Its cost people so much when they lose power for that long..all the things they had to buy to survive..kerosene, candles, batterys, water, and all the other things. It couldnt of happened at a worse time either. Most people had spend all their extra money on Christmas. I dont usually approve of government hand-outs, but I think EVERYONE who went days without power should get some help.

yeah i know what you mean not everyone in wv are on welfare most of the elderly are retired miners and on fixed incomes and you know how most of them are they probably bought all they were going to fix on xmas day for dinner about two weeks ago, now they can try to replace it if they can afford it cause you know all of it was lost ...i know one thing i'm thinking about taking all that I bought as gifts and turning it in and buying a damn generator and giving it to them for xmas they might never use it but it sure would come in handy right now

they have it all wrong, the ones that work should be first on the list to get their foods back. Of course my hubby called someone in charleston and as of right now don't look for anything. if you're on stamps already they probably will get their fridge filled or their pill bottle filled one or the other. We work all the time and we lost a lot and have to replace it. i cant believe the system is this mixed up that the ones that keep everyone going always gets the shaft.

It is ridiculous that people are always looking for a handout! How about a little common sense like someone mentioned above... put the food that needs to stay cold outside.. Oh the animals will eat it.. how about putting it in a cooler filled with snow and it wont spoil and the animals cant get to it.... I do have to agree that it is a shame that the people on welfare get reimbursed when it is the working tax payer footing the bill. I also have to comment on something I found out a few minutes ago... apparently some people will be without electricity longer that others because while the power was off, a bunch of the pill popping dope heads stole the lines so they could pay for their next fix... A shame. An absolute shame....
