If the search would have been contacted the nite of the missing person, by the sheriff's department in the firtst place, when calls were made to them, that nite from numberous people in town to check the situation out, than all in Forsyth, wouldn't be going thru this now. It's a shame how any of this has been done in that town.

Why hasn't national "media" been all over this? All affiliates, NBC, CBS, ABC, not a mention anywhere except locally around Forsyth/Billings, MT. How about some coverage to open up this mysterious "disappearance" of Tom Smith. Why did Forsyth LE call off the search without notifying another agency that Tom was still missing a month later? Too many questions, not enough answers. If Forsyth LE doesn't have the necessary funding to continue to search or investigate this, then they should have notified the FBI about a suspecious missing person case.
Tom's family has taken it upon themselves to coordinate search efforts, bringing in search dog teams, at their own expense! Why isn't Forsyth LE helping out or looking into it more??? If they are, keep the family informed.
Notify all media in one's area, ask why they haven't been informed of this missing person. All other missing persons are all over the news from all over the US, why not Tom???
I hope Denny and his search dogs are successful tomorrow in finding a clue as to what happened to Tom. Tom is still out there and he needs to be found, one way or another. His family needs closure on this.
Sharon, know that we are all thinking of you and your family. This is not over until Tom is found! Everyone ... let's bring Tom home!

WHAT DO YOU MEAN, WHO CARES? HOW INSENSITIVE IS THAT ...?

Tom's family needs all the help they can get in locating him, we all care, we all love him and want to bring him home! The media can cover this story to help everyone be aware of what is going on. There could be a shred of evidence out there that someone knows, has seen or thinks it isn't important enough to come forward ... nothing is insignificant here, everything needs to be mentioned to bring Tom home!

Lisa Kay, thanx for the positive words. This disappearance of Tom's is still baffling to his family. LE has made several blunders over this, too many ?? not enough answers! We have posters from coast to coast-hoping someone sees Tom if he's out there. Weather should be clearing in Forsyth soon so s&R efforts should begin again soon. Prayers are a big part in all this, keep them going-God does hear!

3 months have passed with no info on Tom. Weather has permitted the searching to continue .. dogs and their handlers will be there, so hope some progress is made. Keep the thoughts and prayers of safe searching for Sharon B. and her family. I have posted on several "trucker sites" with info of Tom hoping someone picked him up. No news so far. All our donated funds have helped immensely to keep search dogs & teams active. Townfolk are pitching in with waves of support - let's do the same, OK? This isn't over until Tom is found & brought home. Alumni weekend in Ritzville is just around the corner, let's hope talk is positive for that event with the class of '87 ...

Tom Smith's body was found Monday afternoon. My prayers are with his family ... closure is so heartbreaking, but a must to this scenario.

That is just wrong,to do that "covers it up".
The cops need to help not hinder(sp).

Tom's services were tonight in Forsyth. His ashes shall be scattered in the summer.

We all ask why, without any answers our lives go on and we are set to be happy with our memories. My memories of Tom are held tighly within my heart. Some to be shared, some to be held dear and some to just openly laugh about ... Tom was a special boy who turned into a very special man. He will be missed greatly. As I look back at all the good times he and my son shared, I smile with joy just for the chance to have known Tom.

Tom is with his parents now, at home in heaven!
