I'm not surprised by the polarization of this pole.

You start walking a very fine line when you punish the victim. Say what you will about the girl personally, she is the victim in this situation as defined by the law.

Thats why she won't be punished. (law is on her side) She needs to be talked into graduating early. That way she can be with her 27 year old professor at Standford.

Many victims of sexual abuse act out in different ways. Now she has an older boyfriend. Does it matter? No the coach is a 42 or 43 year old married man. Does anyone not get that he is married and he is in a position of authority? When he had a child with his last student allegedly...there was no law in Texas that said the teacher could not have sex with a 17 year old. I think as the facts are allowed to emerge people will be told the truth about when this molestation actually started- when the girl was 16 or younger. Also, lets say that she is the fastest girl west of the Mississippi...the coach broke the law and he should be held responsible!

I think both the coach and the student are at blame. He is an adult,a teacher, and a father.Sick man! She too has problems that needs to be delt with. I dont know this to be fact, but at the Homecoming game talk in the stands was that the mum she had on at school on Friday had the coaches name on it. If in fact this is true, she is in need of some serious counseling. How horrible this must be for the Stephens children.

Why add fuel with the rumors? No proof she was 16 when this started. The "other student" had a child with a high school kid. That is a proven fact, there is nothing there. The ""mum" was to represent her "boyfreind" in California. This is a sad, sick, horrible incident. why spread more rumors? The only ones hurt are the wife and family memebers and they have enough pain.

How many men is the girl seeing? She has a boyfriend on California? This gets more sick and twisted everyday. My heart goes out to the wife and the kids!
