To whom it may concern,
I am a current student at HCC. I am in the paramedic to nurse bridge program (wonderful program). I am looking for an answer to my question. Why did I pay $112.39 for the book "An Invitation to Health"? The book is available new at Amazon.com for $9.99 plus shipping. I paid 11 times over at the book store. I feel that this is ridiculous. I understand that there should be a profit. How is it that the HCC book store has the price of text book marked up 200% on most books? I have discussed this with several people in the community and I find the similar experience with fellow students and parents / grandparents of students. My question is why are you robbing your pupils? Frustrated, Seth G. |
