I'm sorry? Maybe one of you supporters could tell me how Americans are losing their rights with a health care bill? Are any of you one of the uninsured? I know I am not but would love to help my fellow Americans get what their jobs refuse to give. It's easy for a woman, living in a subdivision, with a retired husband that works for SAIC to protest against health care reform when she's protected if diagnosed with cancer, MS, or diabetes. I betcha she would have a fit if the government stopped financing Medicare. She should wave her flag any way she likes; it is her right. However, her reasoning is just selfish.

When idiots began talking about flying a confederate flag upside down (how would you know?)- it's time to light a fire and make glue.

I may not agree that displaying the flag in the distress position was right, but we all have our own ways of protesting things we do not agree with. Weither you agree or disagree with what happened it is a freedom we all enjoy and no laws were broken. I think the home owners association over stepped their boundary. Public law 109-243 and the Freedom to Display the American Act of 2005 prohibits a any real estate association from adopting any policy that would prohibit displaying the flag. They may want to re-look at their home owners association policies to ensure they aren't in viloation with state and federal laws concerning individual rights.

I may not agree with Mrs. Orr's choice on expressing her opinion but that is a right she has. That is what we have fought for freedom and not opression by few on many. Flying the flag upside down is a distress signal. Distress is not defined under the law concerning the US flag. It is left up to the individual for interpretation. Mrs. Breland and the concerned neighbors obviously have a different definition but it is their opinion verses against someone else’s opinion. It has nothing to do with what is legal and she appears to use that as a cover for her personal opinion. If she is really concerned about improper use of the flag from a legal stand she should be going after people that wear flag apparel, have or sell articles with the US flag, or flags printed on napkins, boxes,…. which are violations of the law pertaining to the use of the US flag. So I would ask Mrs. Breland what her next excuse will be to impose her personal opinions on individuals living in her neighborhood who differ from hers. She may be able to impose her personal home owner’s association rules and restrictions on the residents but not when they infringe on peoples basic rights and legal freedoms. Get a life, it is not a separate colony it is a sub division for heaven’s sake.

America has been disgraced with poor judgement, poor attitudes, rebellion, and selfish desires. Everyone has "free speech" They are allow to do disrespectful things governed by a childish tantrum and no doubt they will continue to do so!

I like what a Pastor on TBN said, "If you don't like America, I will gladly give you a one way ticket to any other country you think is better."

We should learn to value and appreciate what we have and be greatful to the Good Lord who provides our needs. No need to rebel, it's not working for the whole, just 1 (you).

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Nowhere on this does it talk about HOAs. "Freedom of Speech" only refers to what actions the Federal Government cannot take.
