Why did Dan Satterfield leave whnt

It seems very strange that Dan left. I'm sure he couldn't have been too far away from early retirement. And furthermore it seems like he doesn't support whnt ever since he left. I'm a huge fan of Dan and was just curious. Maybe it was the work environment, immediately following the April tornados there was a segment were that anchor guy ( not the one with glasses who shaved his mustache) was with michelle stark and you could just see the animosity fuming off this guy as he fiddled with his iPad. Michelle had just got done saying some positive comments about the christina Meeks girl. No wonder Christina is always so nervous if she has to work around a jerk like that!

And shame on whnt for not promoting Ben smith to the chief meteorologist position!

I heard a rumor, I believe maybe here on Topix, that he was messing around with little kids or teenagers or something like that.

He was FIRED, They could not keep it quite much longer.

But WHY was he fired? He was the best weatherman in Huntsville and so many people loved him. Dan should have made it public that e was fired bc it would have RUINED whnt if all the fans knew they fired him

I don't even know why I asked. I should have known better than to expect real answers from a bunch of uneducated redneck idiots in Alabama. I just wish Dan would care enough about the slanderous comments to track your ip addresses down and report each of you!

No One has broke any laws. Except maybe Smebberfield and Why From Nashville and her mysterious Changing IP address.

Mysterious? My goodness! It's called a phone and home Internet. They each use different ip addresses! Furthermore, defamation of character is illegal.

I always thought Dan was to reactionary. I remember doing a project with NOAH. Those guys were really up set about Dan declaring his "own" tornado warnings. They felt it would eventually confuse the public and only lead to future lawsuits. Only one organization should issue a tornado warning. But Dan kept doing it to boost ratings and his own Ego. I wish him luck in his new "Teaching" career

Lucky for me, my "real friends" back in Oklahoma never heard of this little podunk town. Every time I go home for high school reunions, I tell'em that I'm living on a yacht somewhere in Asia, and that I'm playing bass for Gary Glitter's band. I wish Dan hadn't done those awful things. I know deep down in his cold dark heart that he's sorry, and like the rest of Huntsville, I forgive him. Dan Satterfield retired after 17 years.He has moved back to his hometown in Oklahoma.Look on Google and they have the information.
