sober living-1/2way houses

Who owns these hell holes , private slum lords or the government??

My house is half sober, what's the problem?

Really, what's the issue with the sober living houses. I have a lot of friends that live in them. They are a lot of help to people who sincerely want to get clean and sober.

That's a beautiful principle. But there is alot of traffic and activity. Then they get booted. Horrible in out revolving door clientele being released from the jail. Sorry not that rosy of a person--- many are not interested in clean living.

True. There are some people that just use them as flop houses... however there are some that take it seriously. I am a member of a 12- step program and there are a lot of people that take it seriousLy. It's sad how a few people can give such a wonderful program and gives it a bad rep.

I agree it's ashame some want a better life. I here alot---making deals, comments, a mockery. They put these in middle of drug/ pill head central
It's easy to see which ones want to stay "connected". The arrogance

They put them where they do to see how serious people are about staying clean and sober.

No they put them where communities don't have political pull, same sections as convicted sex criminals. The premise of recovery is remove them from the element---- this is money making revolving door

That may be true for some, however the ones I've been associated with are nonprofit. The men and women in the houses pay their own way. They don't make any money off them. Me and a friend are working on opening another women's house and i can promises therewon't be any money made. That's not what it's about.

Well it's a big priority to fill those beds
And no money. No accept

We don't turn people away if they can't pay. We still help them. Filing the beds are a priority but only so we can help them too learn to live a better life where drugs and alcohol play no part

I respect That. Just don't let the one make you doubt the others because that's not at all how they all are

Let's just say after years as medical professional.... I'm a good read. Been around rehab. So far I've called them pretty good. Here today gone tomorrow

It took me 11 years to finally get my head outta my butt and get sober. I just celebrated 18 mths and believe me i have seen a lot come and go but I've also seen a lot stick aroundand make it.
