Ha, the huntigton charters prez is like 25 years old, no chance of him cracking down on the young lose cannons. The law will start to crack down on them soon. They've been showing up on the radar too much here lately. For a long time the cops left the clubs alone cause the clubs didn't start crap out in the local bars and stuff like that. The newer avengers have stirred up trouble at every bar from jbs to rt champs, it's just a matter of time before the cops crack down. The cops keep plenty of information handy to shut these clubs down if they want to. Those young "bikers" are trying to make a name for themselves and they are, with the law. Stupid move on their part. It's way better for a club to stay under the radar, that way you can operate without getting hassled by the cops.

Like I said, I was in the life for a long time. I got out because of my health and my family. I hope these new guys chill out for a while or they are gonna get busted again like they did in the 70s. I have a friend in hpd, he told me they are watching the avengers hard. If you have ever been to their clubhouse your license plate number has been logged. Just keep that in mind.

Just so everyones clear, I don't have anything against the avengers or any other club. I just know the kind of stuff they do, it is what it is. I'm just tired of everyone acting like they're boy scouts. They're outlaw bikers, they say outlaw for a reason. Also I hope some of these young avengers read this and realize they need to be smarter and quit acting like tough guys all over town. You're gonna kill your own club by doing that. Be men, don't start trouble, if there is trouble don't be excessive, and just ride and be brothers. Lose all the bull crap

The Avengers of today are nothing like they were when the club first started. If you wanted to know a real avenger you needed to know guys like Big Tony and Hazel and all those cats. They were real Avengers!!! If they met these little boys that call themselves avengers now they'd laugh right b4 they tore their heads off!!!

@old biker - I never said that any of them were angels. i never said that they werent 'bad guys'. truth is, i know what kind of bad they CAN be. i will give you your respect and sit back and say nothing more, but continue to know what i DO know.

@proudavengersdaughter - i agree. my dad may have been a bad, bad man.... but he was a great father! and again, i agree that hings are not like they used to be. my dad was in the club in the late 60's, early 70's. a brother was a brother at any cost and could walk proudly and know that his back was covered.

Times change, people change, the day of the shovel rider taking off with there bed roles are over, there are still many old timers around in this club, this is almost 2011, society as a hole has gotten allot more crazier, everybody thinks there owed somthing, even respect, the club member of yesteryear is gone, this is how it is in all the big clubs

oh its true..... the ex skybox employee is not making it up. there is no police report because the "old man" they beat up was Pete Janey. He is actually a pretty good guy and a former cop as well as a current Bartender. He coulda pressed charges but hes just not that kind of guy. I respect biker gangs and would much rather have them than detroit thugs any day... atleast bikers have a moral code to answer to and they respect. i just wish they didnt think just because they have on colors that we should all bow down.... thats not how us WV folk are....

Why don't these guys do just that. Run the Detroit drug dealers back to Detroit. I figure if they could they would have by now. Just a thought.

The Avengers are a decent size club. They have a few charters in Michigan, a few in Ohio, at least 5 in West Virginia, at least one in Florida, and one in some other country. If I had to guess I'd say around 200 members, but that's really just an educated guess.

As far as it not being public knowledge, everything is public knowledge in this day and time brother.

seems to me some people that post things about the avengers m c don't have a clue wtf they are talking about. yes i am a avengers m c member and have been for the last 15 years. durning that time i haven't seen or heard of a member selling drugs or running guns. sure we party hard but we don't bother anybody unless the chit is started with us. we don't start trouble but we refuse to run from throuble. we are avengers 100% of the time. we are proud of our club, you have no idea how many men have probrated for membership and failed because they didn't meet club standards. next time you want to run your pie hole about us come to the clubhouse and tell us face to face, that is if you have the balls to do so.

15 years and you never seen a member sell drugs? BS... I'm not saying the club runs drugs, but I know some of the members use drugs and sell to each other. And what about the guys that were cookin meth down in Georgia and runnin it up here? If you don't like your clubs dirty little secrets getting out you shouldn't get on here and spread a bunch of lies about how you're all boy scouts and do charities and blah blah blah. When you guys quit trying to lie and defend yourselves, I'll quit.

To the OP: If you want to know who or what the Avengers are - ask an Avenger. Do you honestly think a bunch or people on Topix are going to know?(No offense to those related to the club that have posted.)

Old Biker: I almost thought you had a bit of sense - until you decided to say more than you know about - how many chapters/members they have. A few chapters in Michigan? LOL! That's good. Try multiplying that by 5. Law Dog's estimate of membership was probably closer to just Michigan's alone.

Skybox people: Maybe the old dude didn't deserve what happened to him - maybe he did, maybe it's somewhere in between. Funny how you're all upset and blaming people - what did YOU do to prevent it from happening? You're just as guilty if you saw something bad happening and did nothing. Seriously - you may not have actually done anything to the old man - but if your did nothing while he was being beaten you are a poor excuse for a human being and have no right to call someone else out for being 'bad'.

What kind of people are Avengers? All kinds - some bad, some good, some are a little of both. But you'll never find out if you don't talk to them. Most clubhouses have parties where civilians are welcome - as long as you behave yourself.

@ bill- don't assume that the younger generation of avengers are any less of anything than the highly respected generation that earned them the priviledge to fly their colors. No matter the age of an Avenger know they are from the same fabric. And I'm sure the young ones are just as tough and bad as the older ones that you revere from the past.

See that's the problem the younger avengers of today are acting like idiots about things in the old days if someone had a problem with a brother they took care of it quietly and between them now seats you've got 10 guys going after 1 person. That's ridiculous! If u can't fight fair don't fight! Quid acting like u rule just cuz u have colors on ur vest cuz those patches can be taken just as easy as they were givin! I hope that they grow up and realize that they are a brotherhood again. There would never have been such a problem and if there was u never heard
about it unless u were there now they go around bragging about shit! Stupid boys lol!

I seriously doubt that considering one of them was my brother for real! And trust me they would have tore those patches off some off these kids.
