Review: Tri-State Veterinary Hospital - Jacqueline Chevalier DVM

The worst veterinary hospital I have ever been involved with. After a terrible experience where Dr if you can call her that Chevalier screwed up my dogs leg that I later had to have amputated at another hospital. She should be stopped and I will be giving her and her rude assistant all the free publicity I can. I have told other people friends and anyone who will listen and they all had their own horror stories about her chop shop. Wish I had heard about her awful reputation a leg and 2000.00 dollars ago. Stay away from this place if you care about your pets!

OMG!!! I have recently had a bad experience at this place. Friends keep telling me I need to get a lawyer but I dont know what to do. If you keep up with this thread, plz let me know if u see this message. I would like to hear about your experience and see if you can help with mine.

Dr. Chevelier is awful!!! they keep you coming back for more $$$$ but they do nothing to help your animals! switch vets before your pets are in misery while tri-state makes their $$$.

She removed a tumor from our very old dog, saying it HAD to be removed because it was cancerous. The poor dog came back literally looking like Dr. Frankenstein had operated on him, and apparently that happens all the time because no one who worked there looked the least bit surprised by it. We were so shocked and horrified, however, that we actually took photographs in case we needed them later.

As if that is not bad enough, the pathology report came back saying there was NO cancer. So we had put our poor old dog through all that pain and suffering for nothing, and had we not opted for surgery, given the (incorrect) cancer diagnosis, we would have put him down for no reason.

She will never, ever be allowed to touch any of my pets again. It is a real shame, because that used to be a very good veterinary practice.

I havent been there in awhile but when Dr. Cruden left we found another vet he was wonderful really one of a kind he cared and saved our peke on more then one visit never was we over charged still miss you Dr. Cruden God Bless you for your heart

She's is a very nice lady! She saved my cat. I almost lost due to being posioned. She is very caring and the staff was very nice when I called and stopped by daily to check. Wonderful person.

I dont know why people bad mouth the place so much but I really like them and now we only go once a year for shots.

I haven't had a problem with the actual vet, but I have noticed a huge increase in the price! I had my cat in there a couple of weeks ago and the visit alone was $40, I remember a few years ago when it was only $20. That's a 100% increase in just a couple of years! Crazy!

They are wonderful. Maybe high but the place is clean you get what you pay for

The rest of them are fine, and the cost is not relevant to me. The problem is Dr. Chevalier. The only reason I let her touch my dog was that Dr. Cruden had left, and I figured she must be good since she was at his old practice, so I trusted her. That was a mistake I will never make again.

Oh I loved Dr. Cruden as well! He saved one of my animals too and even came in and did one of the emergency calls one night to save her tail. I miss him. I haven't had any problems with the vets there now though. I brought my dog there recently and they took good care of her.

Isnt that the truth he (Dr.Cruden) was most certainly one of a kind he saved my sons peke that not to mention was very elderly more then a few times with herna surgerys like 4 then he starting having kidney problems took care of him soooo good till became cruel to our beloved pet then he was there in the end i know some say he was just a vet but he was so much more with his compassion commitment to the pets that we dearly love

dr cruden has always worked for her. She owns it, and has always been "in charge". I wouldn't trust her with an animal. I used to work there and I personally know what goes on. I know all about the fake diagnosis to get more money. I've also had bad things happen to my animals in her care. That's what happens when a vet thinks they know everything and takes over a clinic the same year they graduate vet school.

Thats a terrible place! I took my middle kid in there and showd them where he cut his knee on one of the rusted coffee can lids I naled around the holes in the kichen floor to keep out the possums, and they said they only treated ANIMALS!! I said to that stuck up bitch "Look at him! Ain't he animal enough for you? Hell, he's got webbed feet make a duck jealous!!" Stuck up bitch didn't even wanna see his feet! I told Ernie Ray to take off his shoes, they wouldt look. She was just jealous. She wished she could have babies stead of working a dog hospital!! You all don't know what its like being a mother. You dont know. You all just jealous!! DON'T YOU JUDGE ME!!!

dr. chevalier IS a horrible vet...I used to work there and Ive seen first hand how bad she is...as for Robin Adkins, she's a B*TCH!!!!!!! They also have a huge slut posting her *ss pics all over their myspace page...if she didnt have daddy's help, she never would have made it!!!!

OMG, I didn't realize this post was about a place I had dealings with a while ago! You bet your sweet u know what that Robin Adkins is an abusive hag!! I don't want go into detail, but I bought medicine for my pet and they just flat out cheated me out of about $140. What they sold me was worthless. It wasn't even medicine. I think it was nothing but water. I tried to be nice and treat it like an error and call it to her attention, and she just stonewalled me. They cheated me out of money. I never went back, and I sure remember her name because she showed her ass with me so bad and then told me her name. You don't forget getting cheated that blatantly. Horrible, horrible person! Stay away!!!

I dont know about what all is being said on here i was never cheated by any of them all was very sweet went there for years went to old place on rt 60 then the new place nikki,loral,jennifer,ashley and so many more that i dont recall but dr. Cruden cant say enough about him such a good person and vet wished he was still there

You all need to call the west Virginia board of vet medicine. They will do more to stop this than any one else

Stay a way from this place! Jacqueline Chevalier is a back alley veterinarian. I have seen first hand the horrible things that happen to animals here, it is heart breaking. Chevalier should have her license revoked, but the real owner Wayne Manning her father, buys all our clients whose pets are injured or killed by her off. I have witnessed so much and I'm ashamed but I can't do any thing. When a dog got out the back door because of the lame hospital staff and hit by a car while the poor dog was dying she was beating its chest so hard I'm sure she busted the dogs ribs the whole time screaming you god damn dog. She set a cat on fire once during a declaw surgery and told the poor clients it was an oxygen tank malfunction when it was her fault. She has let multiple patients bleed to death because she refused to go back to surgery and stop the bleeding. She kicks her own dog that is pictured on our bill board advertisement daily. Chevalier and her chosen few set at the back ledge while patients lay in their own urine and feces with their IV alarms blaring. No one is here at night and the critical patients are left without attention. AAHA my ass this place is a butcher shop!!! STAY AWAY!!!

Years ago whole working there I watched several dogs bleed to death during spays. I'm scared to death to have my three small dogs spayed because of the horror I witnessed in that vet clinic. I can remember at the end of some shifts, she would look at the revenues for that day and say "I'm so close, the next animal that comes in we need to say blah, blah, blah" and she would create some illness to sell products!!!! And it always sounded like a war zone with IV alarms going off every where!

It is so sad what has happened to Tri State Vet Hospital since Jacqueline Manning Chevalier took it over a few years ago. Since Dr Cruden left there is no way I would trust anyone in that place with my animal. It is not the way it used to be, the place is filthy animals lay on there own urine and feces. The floors, exam tables never get cleaned. I've seen employees walk around shit on the floors but ignore it for some one else to clean it up. The surgery skills of the Dr's are horrendous. Setting a cat on fire with a surgical laser is not the cause of a faulty oxygen tank it is extreme malpractice and it has happened to Chevalier not once but twice. I would only hope that anyone that has had an animal injured at the hands of Dr Chevalier contact the WV Veterinary Board. She needs to be stopped!!!!
