She shouldn't be a school secretary, she should be in politics.

Well, changing others grades down is probably what got them caught. What you should do if you change grades is to improve a whole handful. Then there would be too many suspects. Changing someone else's down points the fingers at someone whose grades got changed up. I guess if they knew of pairs of students who hated each other, then they could raise them for one and lower them for the other.

At first I thought this woman sounded smart. Then I read the article.

>In all, McNeal is accused of altering nearly 200 scores and grades covering four school years.

>The situation came to light in October 2007, when an employee of the high school guidance office discovered conflicting SAT scores for Brittany.

>Scores provided directly by the College Board showed a cumulative score of 1370, while an unknown source had previously entered 1730, according to court papers.

>Further investigation revealed that the data had been entered from Caroline McNeal's computer starting more than a week before SAT scores for other students were entered.

Why couldn't mother and or daughter just sleep with the teachers for better grades, like everyone else does?

Nice lesson this mother taught her daughter.

I imagine the parents of the 2 students whose grades were lowered are furious.

Mom should be ashamed AND should be punished strenuously so other parents don't think they can get away with this sick behavior.

Thats an excellent point. If she left the kids grades alone, no one would realize her own daughters grades being 'upped'. Once in a while I am surprised by someone on here that actually has a brain ... GREAT JOB.

Well, I used to read texts on doing various things. One was on getting cable service without paying. The best strategy on the type of system that uses traps to limit what the customers receive would be to remove all that you find. Then nobody knows who did it, since everyone in that cluster benefits.

The above is pretty moot due to all this digital stuff and being required to have boxes and all. The box acts as the access limiting device and you won't be able to get more stuff than what it is programmed at the office to give you. But the principles remain. If you do something you are not supposed to do, then do the same to multiple people. Ie., if you fix your grades, fix them for a number of students. And if you want to frame people for something, target yourself as well.

You are right again. The average person does not say anything if result is better. For example, I must admit I always complain if I get less change from a store... On the flip , I am quiet as a mouse when I get more and try to get away quickly as possible. Grades would be the same thing. Now couple that with at least a few people complaining, thus you have an investigation on the way.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Cancer

You've had enough time to yourself lately. This is a day to focus on family, with all the good and bad that that brings. Crabs would much rather be at the top of the tree than down near the roots, but that's life. You might be smart when it comes to matters of the heart, but you don't know it all quite yet.
