Murder in Mt Union Results in Bogus Busts

Today in a sweep of over 30 people countywide! State,local and federal government have acousted 30 plus people and are holding them without due process and violated their constitutional rights!
Helicopters, police cars and armed state troops decend on citizens of Mount Union pa today on trumped up charges to get them to talk about the murder of two Mount Union females in 2008!
Most people are in favor of finding out who the killers are but to take innocent people from their homes and putting them into the federal jail without due process is unconstitutional and an infringement to what american justice is all about!
The police have been abusing their powers in america for too long! These people they have been busting are innocent of any federal crime but are taken from their families under police state politics!
We want to know where are our loved ones are and not in fema camps being torutured to tell the government what they know or don't know without DUE PROCESS OF LAW!
This is no more business as usuall in America! If WE become confortable that this the way it is! One day they will come to YOU and put you in federal jail for spitting on the street and take your rights like ruby ridge! Kill your wife and childern and give you 3.5 million dollars to shut you up! If you survive!

I believe your overbearing liberal mind is over stating the facts. If one of the victims was your sister, I would think you would feel pretty good about the situation.

I agree who ever did this atrosity will come to justice! But to violate the constitution is wrong!

MOUNT UNION - Eleven people were arrested Wednesday morning during a raid at a Huntingdon County public housing complex, authorities said.

The investigation may help shed light on the January shooting deaths of two women at the Chestnut Terrace housing complex in Mount Union, Huntingdon County District Attorney George Zanic said. No arrests have been made in the homicide case.

"This is an ongoing investigation that originated from the homicides that occurred in January this year," Zanic said. "By all means, this does not mean that the suspects arrested [Wednesday] are involved with the murders. There will be more drug arrests made - I can promise you that."

Federal, state and local agents served the warrants about 8 a.m., state police at Huntingdon said. The names of those arrested were not released because the federal indictments against them are sealed, Zanic said.

The 11 people were taken to U.S. District Court to appear before a U.S. magistrate judge for arraignment. Some of the arrests were for drug charges, while others were for housing authority violations, Zanic said. Two other people were arrested on unrelated warrants.

State police continue to investigate the January shooting deaths of Christine McWhorter, 22, and her aunt, Beatrice Daniels, 33, both of Mount Union. Both women died from single gunshot wounds to the head while lying in bed in McWhorter's Chestnut Terrace apartment, police said.

McWhorter's two children, a 4-year-old and a 4-month-old, were in the apartment at the time of the shootings, police said. The toddler alerted a neighbor, and the neighbor then contacted police.

Troopers from four barracks, including officers from Philadelphia as well as federal agents, assisted in the homicide investigation. The women originally were from Philadelphia.

The investigation resulting in Wednesday's arrests involved state police, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Huntingdon County Housing Authority, which owns Chestnut Terrace. The state and federal agencies were assisted in making the arrests by the drug task forces in Huntingdon and Mifflin counties and the Huntingdon County Sheriff's Department.

Strange how THE MEDIA reported that this wasnt apart of the murder investigation (stated on tv)! In one case! A older couple were haulled into the office of Huntingdon County Housing Authority like quatantamo bay (imagine what happend there!) THEN hauled into FEDERAL COURT in Harrisburg then released! On paper pushing charges! And ONE on drug charges! I mean it was like vietnam here with helicopters and state troops! Drug dogs on federal drive the whole ruby ridge/waco tactics!

I look at both sides of the coin! Yes we want Zanic to find these murdering scum! But to take someone away and treat them like a criminal on HOUSING VIOLATIONS! Thats not STATE law!

And O fallon! Believe half of what you see and nothing you hear! Like the media it was 11 people but it sure looked like more at quantanmo bay! Opps I ment the Huntingdon County Housing office!

Older people don't sell drugs??? All these older people have to do is follow the laws of the land. I've had a lot of friends from Mt. Union and the surrounding area, and I know wht they are probably saying "it's about time".
Liberty I would think you would even have to admit that Mt. Union needs cleaned up from drugs and crime, and the Housing projects are a good place to start.
I haven't been around for awhile but I do remember the Fruit Market, the Firehouse, killing at the swimming pool, a meth manufacturing bust on down the road. Mt. Union area needs cleaned out, with whatever measures it takes!

To arrest 11 people. Helecoptors, state troopers, drug dogs, federal agents and all that spending state money to violate the rights of citizens to catch a murder suspect! The dope dealers ok i can see that!

My argument is that this was done with police state tactics (remember my overbearing liberal mind.) Feel comfortable in your house today. Your neighbor calls you a terrorist and calls the police. Your ass is grass! You get dragged in to federal court wonding why! They say why ask why we are going to get you regardless!

We all know in this town that was no vasaline, media LIED to you said "DRUGS" to put in the publics mind this was a drug bust! 2 dealers only how sad! This was a let me get something on you so you will talk to police about the murder type affair here in Mt Union!

If it breaks a law, then that person is a criminal. You're probably right about it not being a state law but being a FEDERAL housing project it's might be a FEDERAL charge, I don't know.

11 arrests and 2 aledged dope dealers. Hey where was the dope! Real dope dealers have money, cars, lawyers,police pay offs,ect. This was intimidation to catch the murderer. Did it take helicopters and armed police to achive all this! That federal money must be good since HUD was involved! Talk about landlord intimidation. Armed troops for 11 people. That lets you know when house bill 492 gets passed they can do this to YOU!

I have a relative that lives just two doors down from where the murders took place. I've lived in this area all 39 years of my life. Mount Union has, as long as I can remember, been inundated with drugs and drug related crimes. Anyone could tell you, if asked... where to get drugs. Lately, and for a long time after the "fruit market" bust and the country club murder... the place to get drugs was the projects or the other housing complex in mount union. About 6-7 years ago, a couple were "lured" out to an abandoned country road in Hill Valley and shot in the head... why? Drugs of course! Someone was murdered across from the police station in mount union... remember that?? Drug related of course! It's ABOUT DAMNED TIME the Federal Government stepped in and helped. It's ABOUT DAMNED TIME something is done to get the drug dealers AND murderers.. off the street... let me ALSO add... that those who KNEW about the murders and WOULD not speak about it... should all be charged with conspiracy after the fact! The young woman was HOLDING her 4 month old baby when she was SHOT IN THE HEAD... drug related, of course!

We need another Jack, to take the bodies of the drug dealers, all the people that will not talk, and all the other low lifes in Mt.Union,up to Jacks mountain, hang them from a tree, and put a sign on them saying this is what happens.
Someday, someone will have the courage. The police can't help, they are as corrupt as the criminals. It is up to the citizens to run these worthless scum out of the area.

I wish I knew what day the drug raid was going to go down so I could have cheered on the federal agents.
