After all this, and they are still holding a rally to legalize pot????

And what about the damage alcohol does to your brain? The drug scene is very much like what prohibition was back in Al Capone's day. If marijuana is legalized, it will be regulated and those growing it will have to pay taxes, etc.

Has nothing to do with what mj does to your brain, it's all about the money. You can say what you want about mj, but alcohol is worse hands down!

Any substance that affects your brain/judgement to where your can no longer function without it. Or have to kill for it is a problem. Drugs including marijuana are addicting. When it runs your life and you have to kill for it there is a problem.

Society has enough brain dead ppl legalizing drugs will just make more. Sorry I dont want my surgeon, pilot, bus driver, etc high on drugs.

that's what happens when you sell weed. Its not all harmless, escpecially when money is involved.

someone smokes a little weed every once in a blue? not a problem. People start growing and selling pounds out of their homes...problem.

you reap what you sow unfortuantely for these 2... actually 3. And their families who are now shattered.

Hopefully we can make cigarettes illegal soon so I can buy cheaper untaxed illegal cigarettes off high school kids. We can have people shooting each other over Marlboros in the street, would be awesome. Hundreds of thousands of people arrested, beaten and put in jail costing the tax payers hundreds of millions of dollars to stop those evil smokers...next we can go after the Coffee drinkers,,,then the evil religious nuts that kill so many doctors and start so many wars....hmmm who can we go after next???

i dont smoke weed, however, i know that it is not physically addicting. people dont murder b/c they want pot, they murder b/c of the money involved in the selling.

I went to high school with all the people involved in this. The marijuana grow operation had absolutely nothing to do with the fall out. Robert didn't kill for weed nor was he under the influence (according to all police reports and friends). It's easy to blame marijuana in these situations when the real motives aren't yet known. Marijuana being illegal is more harmfull than the drug itself. One beer kills more brain cells than a life time of marijuana use.

Addictive substance is FAR different than an addictive personality. People 'addicted' to pot have an addictive personality and could have easily been addicted to running, shopping, or cleaning. Marijuana is not an addictive substance. It does not work in the brain that way.

I understand that you NEED to promote that it's addictive and needs to stay illegal, your job depends on it. What would happen if all those teens were not sent to you from their parents or judges? A lot of your business would dry up.

Parks and Rec I can work anywhere. Whether it be in rehab or the ER to pick up the pieces of your drunken / doped out body. Dont you worry I dont NEED addicts to work. I prefer not working the dependent on drugs, dependent on alcohol, and dependent on society. I see it regularly and to be honest it's quite disgusting what these substances do to ones mind and body.

As all can see by your blubbering you are the ones that keep my jobs secure. I suppose I should be thanking you. NOT.

Keep spreading the propoganda my friend... it won't spread itself. Don't listen to science about how cannabis is safer than caffeine. Don't look at the successful severe decriminalization in Portugal, Spain, and the Netherlands and the corresponding drop in drug use, abuse, and crime. How is that 'war on drugs' going anyway? Use has to be significantly down after 30 yrs... doesn't it?

Devvy, I think your perception comes from working with the worse case scenarios of drugs where people cannot control themselves. There are no shortage of responsible marijuana users that don't drive while high, don't go to work high, and are generally very productive people. There hasn't been a President in the last 40 years that has not admitted to using some sort of drug. There are plenty of examples of very successful marijuana users. What Parks N Rec says about portugal and the netherlands is correct. There are numerous studies that show that in states where just medical marijuana has been legalized that teen drug use is down. People that advocate the legalization of marijuana don't want to see teens using it, people driving while high, or people dependent on it. Our current policies do not work and to take away personal freedoms is unconstitutional.

This is insane. I'm sure it was a drug induced incident. They were probably having a wild pot orgy, crossed swords, and the dud flipped out.

The wife and murderer graduated together. They had kicked the kid out last week causing a fight in which he flipped out. Police reports state that he was 100% sober during the incident. All the neighbors have stated that there were not a stream of cars coming in and out of the house (as you would see from a drug house) and the owners cars were the only ones there. They were growing marijuana for personal use.

90% of drug and alcohol abusers in rehab are on medicaid. Us "working" people pay for their habit. Not one of them are productive, assets to society. They bleed the system and everyone out there.

There are no positives unless it is for medical purpose for one to be high on a regular basis. No matter what the substance is.

When one has to drink or take drugs to relax, have a good time, or make it a daily practice makes you an addict. Addicts in society are not safe nor will they be able to function over long periods of time. It can be hidden for a while but it catches up to you.

Just like the person that NEEDS a cup of coffee in the morning. Addict.

Just like the person that goes to McDonalds for lunch every day. Adiict.

These people aren't safe and won't be able to function over long periods of time. These people are a drain to all us 'working' people who pay for their addiction.

He does, that's the funniest part about it. He spreads the 'these people are addicts and a drain on society' BS, while making the same money that he's complaing about 'draining society'. lol

Throughout the rest of the month you'll enjoy the security and comfort that you gain from being in familiar places surrounded by familiar faces. You won't be happy about straying too far from home, and you'll rush back there as soon as possible.
