I heard that the Rich Hill amish are paying people to impregnate their wives because they need new blood lines in the community. Is this true?

Normally they send for new males and females from other Amish Ordnungs in other parts of the country.

I heard the same thing. I was wondering if it was true myself; we're all too familiar with rumors around here! This is not the first time that I've heard about it either. It's sick if you ask me! I heard about the entire process and I was shocked to even hear that stuff like that might be going on. Incidentally, unless they were marrying closer than first cousins for more than a generation imbreeding would not be a problem. It has been scientifically proven that there are no biological defects of any kind outside of the normal variance that can come from marrying first cousins. Biblically speaking, this is verifiable as well.

No.This is totally false.A lot of the Amish or Mennonites there are my relatives, especially the Hoovers,a lot of the Brubakers and Mazelins.I was in a "sister" Amish church, and have spent some time in The rich Hill community myself. They are very dedicated Christians.I moved away because of a desire to serve God in the mission field.I have a lot of respect for those Amish, even though God led me elsewhere.Again, this is a falsehood. If you wonder, you may go to any of the Amish give them my name and ask if they know me.
