ok first off, if this one guy,ward, was as a good of a guy as you say he is, then he would have stayed behind.. this is how i see the situation, whether or not the guy knew the gun was stolen or not, which if i was his lawyer i would say deny it too..this is a place for opinons, nothin i or anyone else on here can say anything to hurt anyones rep. he hurt his on rep by being involved with this crime.. with that said.. whether or not the guy wanted to commit suicide is a big deal with a case like this.. but i think when anyone kills someone, unless they are like being raped and kill their rapist or are threatend and kill someone in self defense, if you kill somebody out, your sick..

tell me this, look at the case with the guy shooting jodi alford in dyer two years ago... he went over to talk about his child and getting to see em.. they argued he pulled a gun and shot her.. he ran threw the gun then turned himself in, he got life w/o possibility of parole.. the day or so before this shootin he went to a friends house and got his gun and ammo from which they hid from him... you tell me why reed is any different and why you think ward should be spared.. he knew the gun was there after the shooting took place, he ran and got in the car and took off with the shooter.. he knew then what he was doin

I can tell why, its because Ward was lured over there by Ayers and the girl. They had charged people to watch the two fight and were hoping Ward would get his a** beat and when Ayers couldn't do it, his buddies tried. Why were all those guys watching the fight from inside the house anyway? They did not want Reed or Ward to know they were there. Was it because they had been charging admission and that is a Felony or because they had planned on jumping Ward from the beginning? When they had him down he heard a gun shot and thought someone must have shot Reed because he had no idea Reed had taken a gun from his uncle's house. When he realized what had happened he made the only decision that he could make and that was to leave. If they were holding Ward down I imagine Reed either saw some of them coming towards him or maybe was afraid they were gopnna kill Ward. Either way I hope everyone on here realizes as well that they were also being chased by the guys who had jumped Ward at the fight. Now tell me what would have happened had he stayed? Common sense tells you those guys had a gun as well or they would not have been so eager to chase down someone who they knew had one. Several neighbors heard the gunfire as well but for some strange reason the Sheriff Dept wants that fact left out. They told it was to get the tag number. Give me a break..they didnt need a tag number, they knew his name and what he was driving..right? I can't imagine the pain that the Burnett family is suffering right now but I firmly believe two more would be dead as well if the two had stayed at the house like everyone is saying. The ones who set this fight up and caused this whole tragedy need to share some of the blame and be held accountable for organizing this whole situation.

Ok first of all THEY did not steal the gun. REED did. Apparently none of yall know the story. REED has been on medication that has been messing with his head, he stole the gun from Wards uncle while Ward was not even in the same house and he did it to kill hisself with it. After that Ayers started talking trash that he could whoop Ward. This lil girl keep begging Ward and Reed to come over so Ward could fight. Come to find out this girl and Ayers and Burnette was charging admission for people to come see this fight. Ward and Reed didn't know anything about this money. Ward was on top of Ayers whoopin his ass like he deserved and 3 other guys jumped Ward. He has shoe prints on his pants to prove it. At the same time is when Burnette and others came towards Reed. Reed showed them he had a gun and told them to back up. They continued to come towards him and Burnette acted like he was reaching for a weapon and Reed shot. Not meaning to shoot anyone. Ward didn't even know Reed had the gun, or that he did the shooting. He heard gun shots and ran to his car and when he got in, there Reed was with a gun. Meanwhile others at this fight got in their vehicles and chased Ward and Reed shooting at them!!!!!! And chased them down the road. Now what did you expect Ward to do. Stop the car and make his friend get out and them both get killed. No!! Ward was charged with Accessory After The Fact of 2nd Degree Murder and the charges are only based on Ward leaving with Reed. There is no way in anyones right mind that Ward should still be charged and sentenced to prison when he was being shot at and chased down the road. Ward did tell Reed to throw the gun out but Ward then told the investigaters right where to find it and guess what, they did. Its not right to kill anyone. Reed deserves what he gets but at the same time you cant sit there and say what you would and wouldn't do if you had a gun and you thought yours and someone else lives where in danger. In the state of Tennessee if you feel yours or anyone else lives is in danger you have the right to take proper precautions. In this case they both could have gotten beat to death. Before you start runnin your mouth you need to find out what all actually happened and why it all happened before you say whether or not someone needs to be in jail of not.

Ward had never met Ayers in his life despite what the Sheriff said on television. He stated this was an on going feud between the two and this statement is completely false. I heard when they pulled up that Ayers was going charging at Reed and Reed said I am not Zach, he is on the other side. Hard to feud with someone that you have never met or spoken to. So Ayers kept running his mouth until they finally talked Ward into fighting. The girl that arranged this gathering(Taylor) also told me that she personally patted Zach down before the fight and that Ayers and others had gotten her phone and was calling/texting the two constantly to get over to Joe's house so he (Ayers) could fight Ward. Ward is definetly guilty of using poor judgement by letting these guys get to him but I hope the others realize there was a chain of events that night that began long before Ward and Reed ever got there. They seem to be acting as though they wanted Ward to come play checkers or something and his friend started shooting people. They planned this night of violence, maybe not loss of life but what did they expect to happen? And from a very reliable source Ayers is still trying to fight. This guy has cost one guy his life and probably ruined the life of at least two others. He needs to be locked up and never let back on the streets.

I'm so glad to move away from hick ville! My name is none of your business because you wouldn't know who I am anyways. I am done with this stupidity. I'm going to go find a forum where people think intelligently and want to have a proper discussion about the issue.
