Jim Gifford Baptist preacher????????????????????????

Does anybody know anything about a Jim/James Gifford. He states that he was a Baptist minister in Humble. He has been elected to the mayor position in a small Iowa town. He has created a lot of problems and I was wondering if the same thing has happened there. Any info would be great.thanks

what kind of problems are u talking about? is he bisexual or gay?

Actually, there are many Jim Giffords in the area, but I know of one whose parents lived in Iowa some years ago. I don't know much about where he has been for the last 10 years, but it sounds like the guy I knew. I'd like to know more about what has happened, I can't find anything by searching the iowa news.

he is the mayor of Cumming,Iowa and work only during the tax season for H&R Block.

What specifically were you looking to find out? More interestingly, what sort of problems has he created in Cumming? Quid pro quo.

Gifford was never a Baptist minister, his degree was in theology - but he was never ordained. He was a director of a small business college in Hagerstown, and run out of town because of various assault charges, stalking, etc. It happened in 1998. He was a pain here, and the staff at the college danced with joy after he was gone. He was ordered to not return by the courts, for a long time.

he is the mayor of cumming,iowa,but i don't know much about him except people question whether he is bisexual,gay or straight.i do know he has a nasty temper.where are you at now?

If you are looking for a James Ernest Gifford and this is the same person. He graduated from SW Theological Seminary in Dallas. He lived in Ft. Worth/Richardson. He is about 53 years old. He came back to Houston several years ago and was teaching in a college in Hagerstown, MD. Attorney General ran him out of the state due to some 18 counts of harrasment. He had a daughter who lives here in Houston with her mother. Mother's name is Christina (don't know the last name) and last I heard on her was that she works for some shipping logistics (FEDEX, UPS, DHL?). This guy is dangerous.

Did he stalk this person as I know he did it to the person he lived with in Houston and even had a child with her. She lived in fear for a while. What type of college was he in here for because he was in charge of several colleges in Houston as well.

Wow, i know this is the same person who did my taxes in Des Moines. He never mentions his past except his mother who is in a nursing home.

SDSW: Was his father's name James A. Gifford? If so, why is he hiding so much? I wonder what he is up to. He really gave up a lot with this woman and her daughter.

He hasn't stirred up very much in Cumming, I have talked to him a few times and he does have a temper. That is correct. His first daughter was named Ruth and he gave her up when he got married the second time. That daughter must be around 35/36 years old?
