I am hearing rumors that C& L Vacum Service, Best food store, Mexican Resaurant, Cooper Auto Parts, Car Wash and RJ grocery & Cafe are all for sale in Daisetta. I guess everyone is trying to get out of this sinkhole town before they are swallowed up by the credit crunch. I also hear rumors that the City of Daisetta has run out of funds to keep the City running. You can drive around and see for yourself that this place is dying out.

Daisetta, Texas has been in trouble for several years. The only problem is no one realizes it and if they did, they don't know what the problem is or how to fix the problem. Truth is, Daisetta has become a Getto slum and drug haven. This is why people are trying to get out of here. These run down buildings, muddy and torn up roads and trash are the biggest problems. FACT: If this place looks bad, visitors get the impression that the people of this area are bad.

Daisetta does look run down and that certainly makes an impressison on people who comem to town for any reason. A cousin of mine joked over the holidays that Ike didn't finish the job in Daisetta. Just made a good start at demolishing the place.

Something going on at the sinkhole on Friday, but I don't know what. The Liberty County Sheriff had part of hyway 770 closed off beside the sinkhole and there were lots of people looking at the sinkhole. I think the Texas RRC was also out there. I heard somebody was supposed to start giving tours of the Daisetta sinkhole. Maybe this was the first tour. I was in the front parking lot at Daisetta High School and it looks like there is a sunk in place on hyway 770 beside the sinkhole and a hump in the hyway just past the sinkhole. If some one has any information on what is goin on, please post and let everyone know.

Geoligist and Texas RRC was out at the sinkhole checking to see what it was doing. See the story in Beaumont Enterprise. If you are in the high School parking lot looking north at the sinkhole,it looks like a hump in the hyway beside the sinkhole. I've never noticed this hump in the road before and I have drove on this road nearly every day since it was built.

What do you mean Daisetta is for sale, you couldn't give me anything at Daisetta. I don't know why anyone would want to start a buisiness in this place. People are afraid to stop at Daisetta for fear they may get bit by a rabid rat or a cockroach.

Well has everyone at Hull-Daisetta paid their new School Tax for 2008. I think someone must have made a mistake because my School Tax went up. I thought this was a Tax rollback, not a Tax increase. I thought this was like a WAL-Mart rollback where the price was lower. Does anyone else in Hull-Daisetta have this problem. Please let me know.

Well if this don't beat all, a Tax rollback turned out to be a big tax increase. Who ever came up with rollback must have been a scam artist that was trying to rip people off. They sure got all of us on this one. yall just wait until the next school board election. We need to get rid of this whole bunch for even thinking about a scam like this. Rollback my foot.

Well I see Daisetta is finaly tearing down some of these old run down buildings on main street. It's about time to start cleaning up this mess. The only thing is how long will it take to haul off all this trash. Thaks to whoever has started this clean up of our town. At least on main street where everyone can see that improvments are being made. The City Of Daisetta has also applied for a $350,000 dollar grant for the water system. If they get it, I hope they fix the water system and not spend the money on other things. If some money is left over, use it to fix the new City Hall.

GOOD NEWS: Daisetta has began a cleanup effort and so far he has made a great difference for the better. Daisetta is already looking much better. If this kaeeps going at this pace,Daisetta will look like a real town or City before too long. Thanks to all these people who have started cleaning up. Seems like al it took was one person to get started and the rest have also started. GOOD JOB SO FAR
